Heartstopper Season 3 Begins Production at Netflix
It’s official! Heartstopper Season 3 is in production at Netflix.
The streaming service announced the news about the YA romantic drama on its social media accounts. “AND ACTION!! 🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂 Heartstopper Season 3 is officially in production,” Netflix UK & Ireland shared on X.
The post featured an image of Alice Oseman, the show’s creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Oseman is also the writer and illustrator of the Heartstopper graphic novels.

Radio Times notes that the clapperboard Oseman features a sneak peek at the creative direction for the upcoming season — Andy Newbery is directing. Heartstopper fans will notice that change, as Euros Lyn directed the first two seasons.
Netflix shared in September that Heartstopper Season 3 Episode 1 would be titled “Love.” Fittingly, that is the one word Oseman used to describe Season 3 when talking to Netflix’s TUDUM.
“People who have read the comics will know what’s going to happen, but I don’t want to spoil it for people who haven’t been reading the comics,” Oseman said.
“I think [Season 2’s ending] just sets up that conversation for next season. We know that Charlie loves Nick, and I think we know that Nick loves Charlie as well. It’s just about when and how they’re going to say that to each other,” Oseman added.

Heartstopper‘s eight-episode second season debuted on Netflix in August 2023. The show previously scored a tw0-season renewal just a month after its series debut in April 2022.
Heartstopper Season 2 starred Kit Connor as Nick Nelson, Joe Locke as Charlie Spring, Yasmin Finney as Elle Argent, William Gao as Tao Xu, Corinna Brown as Tara Jones, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy Olson, and Tobie Donovan as Isaac Henderson.
As previously reported, Season 3 will not see Sebastian Croft return as Ben.
The second season welcomed Leila Khan, Jack Barton, Nima Taleghani, and Bradley Riches, as well as Bel Priestly, Ash Self, and Thibault de Montalember.
