Heartstopper Forever Trailer Sees Charlie and Nick Face an Uncertain Romantic Future

They say that love always finds a way, and that’s never been truer than what’s been seen on Heartstopper. However, Charlie and Nick’s love is put to the ultimate test in Heartstopper Forever.

Per Variety, Netflix released the official trailer for Heartstopper Forever. The upcoming Heartstopper special premieres on Friday, July 17. 

Fans might not be ready to say goodbye to Charlie, Nick, and their friends just yet. Fortunately, the trailer gives fans a taste of what that farewell looks like.

The Heartstopper Forever trailer captures the peak of Charlie and Nick’s relationship, after having faced the tough turmoil of high school on Heartstopper. As summertime ramps up for the couple and their friends, so too does the love shared between them.

However, with their university years coming around, Charlie is seemingly worried about Nick’s concerns for their future. Furthermore, there seems to be a love triangle forming between the couple as their long-distance relationship takes hold.

Trouble seems to brew in Nick’s mind over this, as seen when he gets into a fight during a game in the trailer. As these newfound doubts start to form in Charlie and Nick’s minds, the two might have to come to terms with whatever life brings their way.

While Charlie insists that Nick has to learn to grow without him, Nick wants to live a happy life with Charlie in the end. Through ups and downs, the couple have to figure out what must be done as their adulthoods inevitably approach.

Their friends also have much to deal with as their high school years come to an end. As they all spend time together, for perhaps the last time they’ll be together, these goodbyes will certainly be bittersweet.

Heartstopper‘s lead stars, Kit Connor and Joe Locke, will be returning as the main couple, Nick and Charlie.

Additionally, Yasmin Finney, Will Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Jenny Walser, Fisayo Akinade, Nima Taleghani, Leila Khan, Bradley Riches, Darragh Hand, and Eddie Marsan also return.

Heartstopper Forever is written by Heartstopper creator, executive producer, and graphic novelist Alice Oseman. Connor and Locke also serve as executive producers for the first time, per Netflix TUDUM.
