CBS Scares Up Our First Look at ‘Ghosts’ Season 3

Ghosts, News

Ghosts is back from the dead with a vengeance and an owl.

CBS has revealed the first episode of Season 3 is titled “The Owl” and picks up right where the last season left off — with a beam of heavenly light and the assumption that a ghost got sucked off.

The premiere is directed by Jay Karas and written by John Blickstead and Trey Kollmer. It follows “Sam, Jay, and the remaining ghosts as they unravel the mystery of which ghost passed into the afterlife.”

Additionally, a rogue owl will threaten to derail Sam and Jay’s plans to transform the barn into a restaurant.

On the Golden Globes red carpet, Rose McIver teased to CBS that there is “a lot going on with Jay’s restaurant” this season.

The couple will look to enlist Mark, their trusted contractor for the last two seasons, to help relocate the owl. Fans can expect Mark to play a more prominent role in the series now that he’s working closely with Jay on this new project.

Something sure to upset Pete when he realizes his friendship with Jay is in jeopardy again.

The phrase “remaining ghosts” is a stinging reminder that one spirit could leave the comedy when it returns on February 15.

Many fans speculate Flower will move on due to potential filming conflicts with Sheila Carrasco’s pregnancy. “The Owl” adds fuel to the fire with the presence of the bird that has become part of Thor and Flower’s blossoming love story.

However, Ghosts hints at a far more complicated outcome by labeling the absent ghost as a “mystery.”

With an established history of toying with its viewers, we have a right to question if the answer is so simple. When the comedy returns, several ghosts could be missing; Flower could be lost in the woods chasing butterflies. And we can’t overlook those basement ghosts.
