Ghosts Season 5 Episode 20, “Polar Opposites,” brings one of the ghosts’ favorite reality TV shows to Woodstone.
Producer Paula, who first visited the mansion to film an episode of Dumb Deaths, returns to scout the estate as a potential shooting location for Thorfinn and Sas’ guiltiest TV pleasure.
That’s right, It’s Getting Hot in Here is back in all its spray-tan glory and potentially filming its latest season at the mansion. The fictional dating show, which saw contestants strip off their clothes as the temperatures rose, was one of the first shows the ghosts discovered and bonded over in Season 1.
The episode’s title also suggests that the presence of a Hollywood producer could lead Sam to pitch Polar Opposites, the holiday rom-com she’s been working on with Joan.
And it sounds like her attempt to make it big as a script writer garners the backing of her emotional support ghosts.
Meanwhile, a change of role among the ghosts prompts an emotional tribute to “someone special.” Could this have something to do with Flower and her new role as Ghost Representative?
When a Hollywood producer comes to scout Woodstone as a filming location, Sam is prompted to take a creative leap that draws unexpected support from the ghosts. Meanwhile, changing roles among the ghosts spark a heartfelt effort to honor someone special.
