Ghosts Season 5 Episode 19, “Gate-gate,” delves into the scandals plaguing Woodstone’s newest investor.
Tad continues to throw himself full force into the mansion’s business dealings after stepping down as mayor. He’s moved on from a ranchy restaurant chain to an emotionally driven project involving his wife, Melani.
Sam and Jay are forced once again to fight for the integrity of their haunted little empire and shut down his attempts to change everything.
They attempt to do this with a location change. Unfortunately for Sam, the restaurant is haunted by a friendly ghost of a waitress named Michelle, who died after being impaled in the back by a sharp receipt holder.
Thankfully for the couple, Sam is joined by roamers Joan and Pete, who help her navigate talking to other ghosts in public.
While Sam and Jay hit up the city, Isaac struggles to adjust to his new surroundings.
Ghosts teases that he misses old connections he’s trying to leave behind. Sadly for Nigel fans, it’s unlikely this has to do with their relationship. It’s more likely that in Isaac’s attempts to reintegrate into upstairs life after losing the ghost representative election, he’s missing his time bonding with the basement ghosts.
When an emotion‑driven decision puts Woodstone at risk, Sam and Jay step up to defend what they’ve built. Meanwhile, Isaac struggles to adjust to new surroundings, only to realize that some connections are too important to leave behind.

He decides to go all in on making Woodstone a billion-dollar business by rebranding Jay’s restaurant as a booth-forward restaurant chain.
