9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 18 Preview: Hearts and Flowers
9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 18, “Hearts and Flowers,” seems to want to end this season with the most stressful situation ever.
The season finale looks like it will pick up where 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 17, “I Got You Babe,” ended — with Athena’s life in the balance.
Detective Hooks shot Athena after she brought attention to the fact that he shot an unarmed man. Let’s be honest, this detective has seemed suspicious ever since he walked on the scene on 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 15, “Pick Your Poison.”
It’s wild that “Hearts and Flowers” presumably starts with the 118 waiting for news about Athena (May and Harry’s reactions are heartbreaking!), only for the chaos to escalate and involve another one of their own.
The promo video shows Maddie on the phone (Chimney?), saying that the hospital is on lockdown because of an active shooter. Then, there are incredibly ominous shots of Eddie trying to hold a wound and get on an elevator.
9-1-1 is no stranger to putting Eddie’s life in danger, especially on the other end of a bullet. So, it’s definitely concerning to see him like this — again.
Since there are photos of Eddie with the 118 and others with him in the hospital’s chapel, is there a chance that he gets injured on the way back to the 118? There really are a lot of questions heading into this 9-1-1 season finale. Hopefully, the 118 family makes it out of the season alive.
