Vote for Your Favorite TV Couples! Tell-Tale TV’s Battle of the Ships 2026 (Round 1)

It’s that time of year again! Before the Fall TV season gets in full swing, we wanted to take a look back at the past year with a focus on one of the best things about television: the couples. 

And so, once again, we’re giving readers the chance to vote for their favorite TV couples in our annual Battle of the Ships!

Below, you can cast your vote for your favorite TV couples in various categories. The nominees are a combination of team-member nominations and reader suggestions. There are a total of four categories this year.

This year’s nominees include pairings from The Rookie, Grey’s Anatomy, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Bridgerton, Heated Rivalry, Outlander, The Way Home, Abbott Elementary, Ghosts, and more.

A few important details:

• • You may vote for up to three choices in each category.
  • Make sure to click “vote” after each category. 
  • You can vote once a day (every 24 hours) until voting closes on Thursday, September 10th at 9:00pm EST.

The top 12 couples in each category will then move on to the second round, which will begin on Friday, September 11th. 

• Note that all characters, couples, and shows listed are from the past year (August 2025-July 2026).

Tell-Tale TV’s Battle of the Ships 2026:

Category #1: Ship You’d Most Like to See Sail (or Sail Again!)

What characters do you want to see get together as a couple already? Or, if they’ve already been a couple, which one do you want to see reunite? For this category, the show must have aired within the time frame, the show must be currently airing, and the characters must currently be on the show or have the potential to return.

Category #2: Favorite TV Couple in a Comedy or Animated Series

For this category, couples must come from comedy or animated series that aired between August 2025 and July 2026, and characters must have been on the show during that time frame. You may vote for up to three choices per category in this round.

Category #3: Favorite Couple in a Sci-fi/Fantasy Series

For this category, ships must come from sci-fi or fantasy series that aired between August 2025 and July 2026, and characters must have been on the show during that time frame. You may vote for up to three choices per category in this round.

Category #4: Favorite TV Couple in a Drama Series

For this category, ships must come from drama series that aired between August 2025 and July 2026, and characters must have been on the show during that time frame. You may vote for up to three choices per category in this round.
