Fire Country and Sheriff Country Set Two-Hour Crossover Event on CBS

Fire Country and Sheriff Country are crossing over for a two-hour event on CBS this fall.

Deadline exclusively reported the news through an interview with Sheriff Country‘s showrunner and executive producer Matt Lopez. 

When asked if this crossover will be self-contained, Lopez said, “I would say yes and no.” Understandably, there will be references to Fire Country characters will refer to the show’s existing storylines for the continuity.

Likewise, Lopez shared that Sheriff Country “characters are doing stuff that’s certainly not inconsistent with our continuity, but it’s a standalone adventure. We did the same thing this year as last year’s crossover thanks to the response. People loved it, and CBS was very thrilled.”

The previous crossover — in Fire Country‘s fourth season and Sheriff Country‘s first season — took place in their respective 13th episodes.

This one takes place much earlier in the fifth episodes on Friday, November 6, per Collider. It all kicks off with Sheriff Country at 8/7c, with Fire Country following at 9/7c.

The episode descriptions read as followed:  

“No Way In” Description: When a dangerous prison break escalates into a volatile hostage crisis, Sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin) must make a high-stakes decision with personal consequences that could change the course of the case and put lives on the line. Max Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, and Jules Latimer guest star.

“No Way Out” Description: When escaped convicts trigger a dangerous manhunt, Bode (Thieriot) and the Station 42 crew join forces with Sheriff Mickey Fox and her deputies to protect their loved ones and the community caught in the crossfire. Baccarin, Matt Lauria, Michele Weaver, Amanda Arcuri, and Ian Quinlan guest star.

Sheriff Country returns with its second season on Friday, October 9. As previously announced, Ben McKenzie will guest star as Sheriff Wade, “a neighboring sheriff who is called in to assist Sheriff Mickey, and has a few secrets of his own.”

The police procedural stars Baccarin, Matt Lauria, W. Earl Brown, Christopher Gorham, and Michele Weaver. Sheriff Country‘s executive producers are Max Thieriot, Tony Phelan, Joan Rater, Matt Lopez; and Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed for Jerry Bruckheimer Television.

As previously reportedFire Country returns for its fifth season also on Friday, October 9. Alongside Thieriot, the firefighting procedural stars Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Jordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer. Olivia Thirlby will join Fire Country Season 5 as a series regular

Its executive producers include Tony Phelan, Joan Rater, Tia Napolitano, Max Thieriot, Bill Purple, and Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed for JBTV.

Sheriff Country andFire Country‘s crossover event begins on Friday, November 6, at 8/7c on CBS.
