Battle of the Ships 2025: Results! The Way Home, Nobody Wants This, The Gilded Age, and Superman & Lois Have This Year’s Winning Couples

After three rounds of voting, the results are in! It’s time to find out the official winners of our annual Battle of the Ships.

For the past few weeks, our readers have voted for the couples they most want to see get together (or get back together) and their favorite TV couples in comedy series, drama series, and sci-fi or fantasy series.

Some of the couples that made it to the final round this year included Benson and Stabler (Law & Order: OC / SVU), Lucy and Tim (The Rookie), Thomas and Kat (The Way Home), Hetty and Trevor (Ghosts), Janine and Gregory (Abbott Elementary), Georgie and Mandy (Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage), Clark and Lois (Superman & Lois), Jamie and Claire (Outlander), Kat and Elliot (The Way Home), Bertha and George Russell (The Gilded Age), Beth and Rip (Yellowstone), Burgess and Ruzek (Chicago P.D.), Severide and Kidd (Chicago Fire), and Maggie and Cal (Sullivan’s Crossing), among others.

Did your favorite TV couple win in their category? Here’s a look at the winners, the ships that landed in second and third place for each category, and the final vote counts in each section.

Category #1: Ship You’d Most Like to See Sail (or Sail Again)

For this category, the shows must have aired within the time frame, the show must be currently airing, and the characters must currently be on the show.

• WINNER: Thomas and Kat (The Way Home)
• Second place: Hannah and Dean (Chicago Med)
• Third place: Lucy and Tim (The Rookie)

Category #2: Favorite Couple in a TV Comedy 

For this category, ships must come from comedy or animated series that aired between August 2024 and July 2025, and characters must have been on the show during that timeframe.

• WINNER: Joanne and Noah (Nobody Wants This)
• Second place: Janine and Gregory (Abbott Elementary)
• Third place: Phineas and Isabella (Phineas & Ferb)

Category #3: Favorite Couple in a Sci-fi or Fantasy Series

For this category, ships must come from a sci-fi/fantasy series that aired between August 2024 and July 2025, and characters must have been on the show during that timeframe.

• WINNER: Clark and Lois (Superman and Lois)
• Second place: Kat and Elliott (The Way Home)
• Third place: Jamie and Claire (Outlander)

Category #4: Favorite Couple in a Drama Series

For this category, ships must come from a drama series that aired between August 2024 and July 2025, and characters must have been on the show during that timeframe.

• WINNER: Bertha and George Russell (The Gilded Age)
• Second place: Severide and Kidd (Chicago Fire)
• Third place: Wesley and Lopez (The Rookie)
