What to Watch on TV This Week: 78th Primetime Emmys, Traitor: New Blood, Slow Horses, and More!
The week of September 13th has something for everyone. We’ve got some returning favorites; a couple of new spin-offs; and, of course, TV’s biggest celebration, the 78th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
Reacher Season 4 concludes the same day the franchise launches a new spin-off centered on private investigator Frances Neagley, aptly titled Neagley.
Neagley isn’t the only new spin-off premiering this week, though. The Stranger Things animated spin-off, Stranger Things: Tales from ’85, and the Outlander prequel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, are both back for their second seasons.
For the sports fans out there, the FIBA Women’s World Cup concludes with its championship game, while The Traitors: New Blood has the reality TV fans covered.

FIBA Women’s World Cup Championship Game – Sunday, September 13th
Watch the United States and France compete for the International Basketball Federation Women’s World Cup Championship in what very well could be a preview of the 2028 Olympics gold medal game. The game airs Sunday, September 13th at 2 pm Eastern on TBS/TNT and HBO Max.
78th Primetime Emmys – Monday, September 14th
Emmy Award winner Mariska Hargitay steps in to host this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards Ceremony. In addition to the awards, this year’s program will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer with David Boreanaz and Sarah Michelle Gellar, and the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels with Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd, and Jaclyn Smith.
The ceremony airs Monday, Sept. 14 at 8/7 c on NBC and Peacock.
Golden Axe – Wednesday, September 16th
Golden Axe Season 1 premieres Wednesday, September 16th on Paramount+.

Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 – Thursday, September 17th
Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 Season 2 premieres Thursday, September 17th on Netflix.
Season Description: Return to Hawkins with Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an exciting new animated series from showrunner Eric Robles and executive producers the Duffer Brothers. Outlander: Blood of My Blood – Friday, September 18th
Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 premieres Friday, September 18th on STARZ.
Season Description: Brian and his cousin Murtagh must return to Castle Leathers and pledge to fight beside his father, the scheming Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat. Ellen reluctantly returns to Castle Leoch to find her brothers, Colum and Dougal, feuding over how to respond to the call to arms. She cleverly devises a plan to protect Clan MacKenzie from the Crown regardless of the outcome of the uprising. Meanwhile Henry and Julia Beauchamp, finally reunited after their unexpected journey back in time left them lost and separated, are ready to return back to their time and their daughter, Claire. When their plan goes horribly awry, the couple is parted once again. Separated from his love and hope, Henry must grapple with his mental health, as he fights to find his way back to Julia, who is forced to return to Castle Leathers and contend with her sinister husband, Lord Lovat.
