A Generational Revenge Story Possesses the ‘Goosebumps’ Trailer
Justin Long steps into a haunted history when a spirit possesses his body in the Goosebumps trailer.
The new series inspired by R.L. Stine’s bestselling Scholastic book series follows a group of five teenagers as they “investigate the tragic passing three decades earlier of a teen named Harold Biddle – while also unearthing dark secrets from their parents’ past,” per the show’s synopsis.
As previously reported, Goosebumps will debut with five episodes of its 10-part series on Friday, October 13, on Disney+ for its “Hallowstream” and Hulu for its “Huluween” celebrations. New episodes will stream weekly.

The show will also premiere its first two episodes on Freeform on the same day as part of the network’s 31 Nights of Halloween programming.
The two-minute trailer, exclusively unveiled by People, sees Long’s English teacher, Nathan Brad, move into the old Biddle house. Despite Rachael Harris’ character’s suggestions of the house being haunted, Nathan assures he has yet to see anything of the sort — until he does.
The new Goosebumps footage shows the high school students poking around the storied home until a run-in with a possessed Nathan makes them wonder if they are caught up in a generational revenge story. As TV Line poses, could the spirit in Nathan be Harold Biddle?
The teens suspect that they may be “murder nepo babies” for whatever their parents did to, presumably, Harold Biddle three decades ago.

Goosebumps will draw on elements from five of the most popular novels in the series — Say Cheese and Die!, The Haunted Mask, The Cuckoo Clock of Doom, Go Eat Worms!, and Night of the Living Dummy.
Developed by Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman, the show stars Long, Harris, and newcomers Zack Morris, Isa Briones, Miles McKenna, Ana Yi Puig, and Will Price.
Stoller and Letterman executive produce Goosebumps alongside Hilary Winston, Neal H. Moritz, Scholastic Entertainment’s Iole Lucchese, Pavun Shetty, Conor Welch, Scholastic Entertainment’s Caitlin Friedman, Erin O’Malley, and Kevin Murphy.
James Eagan and Nick Adams co-executive produce.
