Big Mouth Season 7 Premiere Date Announced by Netflix
Big Mouth‘s penultimate season is coming to Netflix next month.
TV Line reports that Season 7 of the adult animated comedy premieres on Friday, October 20, on the streaming service.
Big Mouth‘s seventh season will follow the Bridgeton Middle School students, who are now teenagers, through all the changes that come with going to high school, including new Hormone Monsters.
Netflix unveiled a new teaser to announce Big Mouth Season 7’s premiere date.
The new season welcomes the guest cast of Megan Thee Stallion, Lupita Nyong’o, Stephanie Beatriz, Zazie Beetz, Padma Lakshmi, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Billy Porter, Rosie Perez, Brian Tyree Henry, Zach Galifianakis, Randall Park, Chloe Fineman, Beck Bennett, Zach Woods, Mark Duplass, Thandiwe Newton, Paul Scheer, Brandon Kyle Goodman, Jon Daly, and Andy Daly, per Deadline.
Created and executive produced by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, and screenwriter-directors Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett, Big Mouth will be the longest-running scripted original series in Netflix history, outside of Kids & Family programming, with its eighth and final season.
Deadline exclusively reported the half-hour edgy show’s renewal in April 2023. In tandem, the outlet shared that Big Mouth‘s spinoff Human Resources would end with its second season.
“If you would have told adolescent Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg that middle school would take eight years to finish, they would have been like, ‘Yeah, that sounds about right.’ This seems like it will never end,” Kroll said, per Netflix’s TUDUM.
“Big Mouth is a towering achievement in animated comedy that will make Netflix history for its longevity. We are thrilled that we still have two more hilarious seasons to share with fans before this brilliant coming of age story reaches its conclusion,” Billy Wee, Netflix’s Director of Adult Animation, said.
The award-winning series is “about the glorious nightmare that is teenaged puberty,” per its official synopsis.
Big Mouth‘s voice cast, led by Kroll, includes John Mulaney, Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate, and Jessi Klein.
