Wolf Pack Introduces a New Pack of Teen Wolves in Trailer for Paramount+

News, Wolf Pack

Sarah Michelle Gellar returns to genre TV, and a new wolf pack forms in the first trailer for Paramount+’s Wolf Pack.

The upcoming original series’ official trailer is set to an eerie cover of LeAnn Rimes’ “Can’t Fight the Moonlight,” which is as fitting as Wolf Pack premiering on the same day as Teen Wolf: The Movie.

Written and produced by Jeff Davis, Wolf Pack premieres exclusively on Paramount+ on Thursday, January 26, in the U.S. and Canada.

The show will debut on Friday, January 27, on the same streaming service in the U.K., Australia, Latin America, and Brazil.

Paramount+ shares that other international markets’ premiere dates will be announced at a later date.

According to Paramount+, Wolf Pack, based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, “follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills.”

The trailer starts with that inciting incident and sees Armani Jackson’s Everett Lang and Bella Shepard’s Blake Navarro wounded by presumably a werewolf bite in the chaos.

The duo is “inexplicably drawn to each other and two other teenagers who were adopted 16 years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire.” The two other teenagers are Chloe Rose Robertson’s Luna Briggs and Tyler Lawrence Gray’s Harlan Briggs.

Rodrigo Santoro’s benevolent park ranger Garrett Briggs comes toe-to-toe with Sarah Michelle Gellar’s arson investigator Kirstin Ramsy, who has her theories about what — or who — caused the wildfires. Though, she’s “not so sure it’s a seven-foot tall monster.”

“As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them – the bite and blood of a werewolf.”

The trailer invokes the Scream franchise in how a mysterious person calls Blake to tell her, “He has to find you. To kill you. Before the next full moon.”

Despite Harlan’s apprehension, Luna believes Blake and Everett should know all the werewolf secrets, even though knowing those secrets could endanger the siblings.

Between the flashes of horror, romance, and flashbacks to when Garrett presumably discovers either Harlan or Chloe, Blake asks a reasonable question: “So this is how it starts. Get fangs, get claws, and then we start killing people?”

Wolf Pack will surely unpack that and more when it premieres later this month.

Wolf Pack‘s cast also includes Bailey Stender, Chase Liefeld, Hollie Bahar, Lanny Joon, Rio Mangini, Stella Smith, Zack Nelson, James Martinez, Amy Pietz, Bria Brimmer, John L. Adams, and Sean Philip Glasgow.

The Paramount+ series is a part of Jeff Davis’ multi-year deal with MTV Entertainment Studios. Davis also wrote and produced the upcoming Teen Wolf: The Movie, produced by MTV Entertainment and MGM.

On behalf of Capital Arts, Joe Genier, Mike Elliott, and Karen Gorodetzky serve as executive producers. Jason Ensler, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Christian Taylor serve as executive producers on Wolf Pack.
