The Original Pack Is Back in the Official ‘Teen Wolf: The Movie’ Trailer

News, Teen Wolf

Scott McCall’s return to Beacon Hills in search of answers leaves Teen Wolf fans with more questions.

Teen Wolf: The Movie‘s full-length trailer reveals Allison Argent has risen from the grave, and she is not alone. Pulling the strings behind this shocking resurrection and the surge of evil back home is the Nogitsune.

The trailer reveals a close-up shot of the Oni as a familiar voice declares, “Something brought them back.”

The trailer for the MTV movie spin-off, streaming January 26 on Paramount+, reveals how traumatic Allison’s return will be as Scott and Lydia become plagued by visions of the archer.

Lydia, now a girl boss with a fancy office where she can conduct her banshee business in private, is the first to sense her best friend’s return.

Scott, in a beautiful call back to the pilot, sees a soaked apparition of Allison standing outside the clinic as Chris Argent confirms he is not the only one haunted by her ghost: “You’re seeing Allison too? I gotta feeling the answers are in Beacon Hills.”

In a smaller revelation, our hometown alpha confesses he hasn’t returned to Beacon Hills in years and is not keen on reopening old wounds.

Things heat up when Allison comes face to face with Scott and has no memory of their history together, igniting suspicions she is not what she appears.

With the Nogisune declaring a new game, Scott scrambles to reunite the pack to stop his plans and save whatever remains of his first love. It’s a battle that requires “everyone” to return to Beacon Hills.

The trailer witnesses the return of Scott’s original pack as our mighty parental figures rally around him; Coach commands a much larger lacrosse field, and Malia and Parrish find themselves in a revealing situation.

But it’s Tyler Hoechlin’s return as Derek Hale that takes center stage as he deploys the same tough love parenting on his 15-year-old son Eli, played by Vince Mattis, as he did on Scott once upon a time.

It’s Teen Wolf on a much larger scale, and only time will tell if the threads this trailer is weaving can come together to resemble the scrappy teen drama we know and love.

The film’s roster of returning original cast is on full display as Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Crystal Reed, Orny Adams, Linden Ashby, JR Bourne, Melissa Ponzio, Ryan Kelley, and Dylan Sprayberry (to name a few) make an appearance in the trailer.

Fans missing Dylan O’Brien’s wise-cracking sleuth Stiles Stilinksi can appreciate the trailer’s epic first shot as the actor lent his jeep to production for filming.

Teen Wolf: The Movie has shown its cards, and it’s clear we are revisiting the show’s most notorious storyline, but without two key players — Stiles and Kira.

Only time will tell if this decision can satisfy our longing to return to Beacon Hills or if Allison’s resurrection will prove a metaphor for the spin-off that should have stayed dead.

Glowing eyes, vengeful hunters, and no idea what is happening. Whether we like it or not, Teen Wolf is back and in peak form.
