Previews, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

The cadets compete, and shenanigans ensue on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 1 Episode 3, “Vitus Reflux.”

On Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 1 Episode 1, “Kids These Days,” viewers met the latest class of Starfleet Academy cadets. Or rather, we met the first class of cadets in over 120 years.

The episode also introduced potential rivalries, friendships, romances, and other story dynamics that will shape the series first season. Perhaps most importantly, the episode set up the season’s overarching story: the search for Caleb’s mother.

Viewers then got a bit of world-building, namely the political context in which the academy exists, on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 1 Episode 2, “Beta Test,” the second episode of the series’ two-episode premiere.

With the scene now firmly set, “Viturs Reflux” will dive deeper into the characters and their relationships. On the episode, the cadets compete to join an elite team while also participating in a prank war with a rival school. Who knew Starfleet Academy even had a rival school?
