What to Expect from Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 1 Episode 10: Rubicon

Previews, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

School’s out. The cadets, however, still have one more mission to complete before the series wraps its first season.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 1 Episode 10, “Rubicon,” picks up where Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 1 Episode 9, “300th Night,” left off.

Nus Braka sprung his trap on the Federation. He surrounded them with Omega-47 mines, making warp travel outside of the perimeter impossible. At the end of “3ooth Night,” Braka had effectively cut the Federation off from each other once again. Or at least cut off most of the Federation.

After taking the Athena on an unauthorized mission with The Doctor and Reno to retrieve Caleb and the cadets who went with him to find his mother, Nahla, and her small crew are the only Federation ship outside the ring of bombs.

They are the Federation’s one chance to defeat Braka and save Starfleet. To do so, Nahla will have to face some of her biggest regrets and lead the cadets on a dangerous mission.

Complicating matters, and likely one of the biggest regrets Nahla will have to face, is the looming reunion with Anisha, Caleb’s mother.

The last time Anisha saw Nahla, she was sending her to prison and separating her from her young son. Asking Anisha to trust or even to work with Nahla is a pretty big ask.

It’s also a difficult position to put Caleb in, but he seems like the only one who might be able to convince his mother to put the past behind her. And that, of course, assumes there are no unexpected revelations about Anisha herself.

Here’s everything you need to know about this episode, including the air date, cast, and how to watch.
