Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Top 5 Moments from ‘Kimmy Meets a Drunk Lady!’ and ‘Kimmy Goes to Her Happy Place!’ (Season 2 Episodes 9 and 10)
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt gets very dark in these episodes, and instead of having an emotional burp, (a la Kimmy), we are going to explore the lighter moments of Season 2 Episodes 9 and 10.
Without further ado, here are our top moments from “Kimmy Meets a Drunk Lady!” and “Kimmy Goes to Her Happy Place!”
1. Tina Fey Guest Stars as Andrea

Tina Fey brings her acting skills to Season Two as Andrea, a psychologist who is also a drunk. She is the complete opposite of Kimmy; she isn’t all sunshine and rainbows and candy. She is a manifestation of our daily struggle of being adults and wanting to be someone else. She is a crazy character that I want to see more of. She has just as many demons as Kimmy, but I enjoy how they try to help each other overcome their issues.
2. Lillian Continues Her Fight Against Gentrification

Carol Kane continues to blow my mind as Lillian. Not only is she passionate about her community, but watching her experience a crisis of faith and identity hits home.
I’m curious to see if she gets arrested for handcuffing herself to the construction equipment, or if she will just be seen as a sweet older woman who needs love.
3. Titus and Michael Continue to be Adorable

I’ve tried so hard not get involved with this couple. I tend to set myself up for disappointment.
But I can’t deny that Titus and Michael are a perfect fit for each other.
Michael is grounded and down to earth, which is the perfect match to Titus. They also have respect for each other and completely understand that even if their experiences coming out were vastly different, they can still be adorable together.
4. Kimmy Gets Angry

Kimmy finally accepts that she has a lot of trauma in her past. She’s coming to terms with that fact that she needs to put herself first and not ignore her emotional burps.
I’m extremely glad that they are exploring the deep seeded pain that makes Kimmy tick, even if it’s a little too dark for my tastes.
5. ’90s Nostalgia Rules the Day

There are so many references to the late 1990’s in these recent episodes. I especially appreciated the death of the Furby and I’m slightly scared for any future archaeologist who happens upon the trash we leave behind.
