The Four Seasons Renewed for Season 3 on Netflix

The travel tradition is far from over for this group of friends!

Netflix has renewed The Four Seasons for an eight-episode third season.

Variety reports that Jinny Howe, the streamer’s head of scripted series, shared the announcement during a conversation with their own Michael Schneider at the Banff World Media Festival. This news comes on the heels of the show’s eight-episode sophomore season. It was released in May 2026 — one year after its series debut in May 2025.

The Four Seasons Season 2 reunited Kate, Jack, Anne, Claude, and Ginny for another year’s worth of travel. This time, it all occurred in the wake of Nick’s (Steve Carell) death. The friend group rounded out their trips in Italy, with the series introducing David Tennant as Anne’s new neighbor, Gianpiero.

“Anne obviously has been on a journey in Season 1 and then Season 2 as well, you know, she’s trying to be Anne 2.0 and have this sort of personal renaissance, but it’s not going great,” co-creator Tracey Wigfield told Deadline

“So there was something really exciting when we were thinking about a cliffhanger for a possible Season 3 of having a romantic cliffhanger, and someone that you would get so excited to see more stories with,” Wigfield added. So, while there is no news about The Four Seasons Season 3’s plot, one can assume it will have more of Tennant’s character.

The show stars Tina Fey, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Colman Domingo, Marco Calvani, and Erika Henningsen. It was created by Fey, Lang Fisher, and Wigfield.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring a third season of The Four Seasons to life,” the showrunners said in a statement, per Netflix’s TUDUM. “Thank you to everyone who watched. Middle-aged people, LFG!”

“It’s been a joy watching the chaotic, beautiful journey of these lifelong friends,” Tracey Pakosta, vice president of US comedy series at Netflix, said.

“Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield have a magical way of blending heart and sharp humor, making us feel like part of the inner circle. Audiences have fallen in love with these characters and this legendary cast’s electric chemistry. We’re thrilled to keep the vacation going for Season 3,” Pakosta concluded.

David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond are executive producers on the show. Alan Alda produces with Marissa Bregman.

The Four Seasons Season 2 is streaming on Netflix.
