Roommates Trailer Sees Sadie Sandler and Chloe East Begrudgingly Surviving Freshman Year

News, TV Movies

In Roommates, college can either be the best time in one’s life or an absolute nightmare, depending on what happens.

Netflix released the trailer for the movie, which will premiere on Wednesday, April 17. Although there’s a lot of chaos, the heart of it all lies in the pairing of Sadie Sandler and Chloe East.

The Roommates trailer sees Sandler’s Devon, a new college freshman, trying to make the most of her first days with East’s Celeste, Devon’s confident and charismatic roommate.

The new kid-popular kid trope is a tale as old as time, and Devon and Celeste’s friendship shows its cracks. From Celeste catching Devon off-guard in the shower to Devon finding Celeste and another student in her bed, the two constantly butt heads.

What becomes a once-blossoming friendship between the two looks to turn into a back-and-forth battle of spirits. This leads to more things that might fracture their relationship, from Devon’s brother being drugged at a party to her being in the center of a wild cruise party.

Even though they have differing personalities, Celeste still hopes that Devon will be her ride-or-die. With Devon wanting more out of her college life following high school experience, there might be a fine line that keeps both of them together.
