The Rookie Season 8 Episode 11 Preview: Aftermath
Lucy returns to work, and the Glasser case takes some turns on The Rookie Season 8 Episode 11, “Aftermath.”
Lucy comes back to Mid-Wilshire after being ambushed by a poisoned man named Martin, on The Rookie Season 8 Episode 10, “His Name Was Martin.” The promo video for “Aftermath” sees Celina ask John how he thinks Lucy is doing.
John, knowing from experience that calls back to Season 1, says, “You know, everyone handles taking a life in the line differently.”
That clip also reveals that John and Celina will be riding together, which begs the question of who Lucy will be riding with in the aftermath. The Rookie‘s photos show Tim doing patrol work. So, maybe he rides with Lucy. There is a sweet shot of Tim extending his hand to Lucy and her taking it in the promo video.
However, it could be that John and Celina need Tim’s help with a call that involves a dead body at a motel and Flula Borg’s return. Skip Tracer Randy last appeared on The Rookie Season 7 Episode 17, “Mutiny and The Bounty.”
“Aftermath” will also have to answer what happened after “His Name Was Martin,” which seemingly reinstated Nyla as a detective. She appears to be working with Angela again, which is exciting. Less so is the fact that “Glasser is on the verge of going free,” per Angela. She puts her faith in Wesley to stop that from happening.
