Presumably, that’s why Lucy looks to be in diguise in one of the photos from the season finale. The promo video suggests that all of this spirals during the LAPD’s transfer of Heath Everett to a courthouse downtown.
Heath — one of this season’s many antagonistic figures — last appeared on The Rookie Season 8 Episode 8, “Grand Theft Aircraft.”
Since then, The Rookie‘s sights have been more set on Liam Glasser. He practically steps into the show’s shadows on the most ominous note on The Rookie Season 8 Episode 17, “Dead Ringer.”
Shockingly, that episode also saw Monica Stevens and her double-dealing end with her death. So, other than Oscar Hutchinson and Elijah Stone, who have brief appearances this season, Heath Everett is the one villain that The Rookie has set up but not explored all that much.
Being on the back burner appears to work in Heath’s favor. It looks to become an advantage in what looks to be his escape from custody during the transfer.
Meanwhile, “The Bandit” also teases that Tim has to propose to Lucy before she finds out from everyone else in the precinct. So, there are a lot of moving parts to look forward to on The Rookie‘s Season 8 finale.
