The team works together to help Blue after Doc breaks into her apartment on NCIS: Sydney Season 3 Episode 2, “True Blue.”
Doc shows concern for Blue’s whereabouts on NCIS: Sydney Season 3 Episode 1, “Gut Instincts,” and he seems to follow them to her apartment in the following episode. The clips from the episode show him using a crowbar to get inside when Blue doesn’t answer the door on Survivor night.
It’s unclear how that leads to the team examining a box of bones found in Blue’s bathroom. Perhaps that’s the shocking discovery that DeShawn and Evie make.
“True Blue”– L-R: Claude Jabbour as Travis “Trigger” Riggs, Todd Lasance as AFP Liaison Officer Sergeant Jim ‘JD’ Dempsey, Sean Sagar as NCIS Special Agent DeShawn Jackson, Olivia Swann as NCIS Special Agent Captain Michelle Mackey, Tuuli Narkle as AFP Liaison Officer Constable Evie Cooper, and William McInnes as Forensic Pathologist Dr. Roy Penrose in NCIS: Sydney episode 2, season 3 streaming on Paramount+, 2025. While standing over the bones, the characters’ stances start to take shape. JD wants to find a way to give the case back to the police because Blue is in trouble. DeShawn thinks that may set Blue up, and Doc sees that as abandoning her.
Meanwhile, Evie wades through the initial excitement that her friend and former colleague may be a serial killer (the bones, and all), and Evie looks visibly concerned by whatever is happening with Blue.
Elsewhere, JD fills Mackey in on a massive bombshell — Bluebird Gleeson is not a real person. Blue made up everything, and she did it so well that she was able to join the AFP.
NCIS: Sydney shares one clip featuring Blue. She seems to be back where she was when she was younger, with someone named Eli, who has never left. From their conversation, it appears that they were taught that the world outside of that property is corrupt. What does it all mean, and can the team help Blue?
