It’s the most wonderful time of the year for TV fans! San Diego Comic-Con is returning to celebrate our favorite shows with star-studded panels and immersive pop-ups across the city.
Programming includes the kick-off to What We Do in the Shadows’ farewell season, Percy Jackson and the Olympian’s first Hall-H panel, and the return of the beloved sci-fi series Wynonna Earp for a movie special event.
Read on for a curated selection of TV-centric panels, events, and offsite activations to look forward to at this year’s con.
Notable Panels and Presentations:
1. What We Do in the Shadows’ Farewell Tour Kick-Off

What We Do in the Shadows celebrates its sixth and final season with a farewell tour full of frights and fanfare. The somber send-off for our favorite Staten Island vampires kicks off with a panel at Hall H on Thursday, July 25, from 3:30 – 4:30 pm PDT.
Coven members in attendance include Kayvan Novak (“Nandor the Relentless”), Matt Berry (“Laszlo Cravensworth”), Mark Proksch (“Colin Robinson”), and Kristen Schaal (“The Guide”). Executive producer/writer Paul Simms and executive producer/director Kyle Newacheck will also stop by to discuss what fans can expect from the final episodes.
Fans in attendance will be treated to a fang-tastic tease — a screening of a brand-new episode from the final season. I don’t know about you old chaps, but that sounds like a bloody good time!
2. Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Disney+’s baby-faced adventure series, is making its first appearance at Comic-Con.
With Season 2 in production, stars Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), Virginia Kull (Sally Jackson) will take the stage to tell behind-the-scene stories from the set of Camp Half-Blood. This godly crew is joined by Jonathan E. Steinberg (co-creator, executive producer) and Dan Shotz (executive producer).
Plus, Hades himself, Jay Duplass, will moderate the panel.
It is fitting that the Greek mythology series would feel right at home in the larger-than-life Hall-H with a Q&A session for fans to ask their burning questions and a special presentation highlighting epic moments from filming and the press tour.
Don’t be a seaweed brain. Get your butt to Hall H on Thursday, July 25, from 2:15 – 3:15 pm PDT to meet your favorite demigods.
3. Anne Rice Universe: Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches

After taking over the Gaslamp Quarter last year and transforming it into the lively streets of New Orleans, Anne Rice’s Universe and AMC are teaming up for a supersized, supernatural panel on Saturday, July 27, from 5:00 – 6:00 pm PDT, in Ballroom 20.
The panel will discuss Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire Season 2 and the upcoming season of Mayfair Witches.
The supersized panel will feature appearances from Mark Johnson (executive producer), Rolin Jones (showrunner and executive producer), Sam Reid (Lestat), Delainey Hayles (Claudia), Assad Zaman (Armand), and Mara LePere-Schloop (production designer) for Interview with the Vampire.
The panelists for Mayfair Witches include Esta Spalding (showrunner and executive producer), Alexandra Daddario (Rowan), Harry Hamlin (Cortland), Tongayi Chirisa (Ciprien), Ben Feldman (Lark), Jack Huston (Lasher), and Alyssa Jirrels (Moira).
In addition to discussing the new seasons, AMC teases the debut of “new assets” for both projects. Meanwhile, fans can stop by the Hilton Gaslamp during SDCC for larger-than-life building wraps featuring all the Immortal Universe shows — including The Talamasca.
4. Ghosts

One of television’s top comedies and a fan favorite here at Tell-Tale TV, Ghosts has made itself a memorable presence at Comic-Con for the past three years, and it has no plans of ghosting us now.
Back to haunt Ballroom 20 on Saturday July 27, from 10:00 – 10:45 am PDT, fans can expect to see series stars Utkarsh Ambudkar (Jay Arondekar), Rebecca Wisocky (Hetty Woodstone), Richie Moriarty (Pete Martino), and Román Zaragoza (Sasappis) make a special trip from Woodstone Mansion to sunny San Diego to discuss that scary Season 3 cliffhanger and what scares they have up their sleeve for Season 4.
The show’s executive producers will also stop by for the spirited discussion with moderator Perri Nemiroff.
If you are dying to know what’s next for our beloved B&B of belligerent poltergeists, scare up some time to see this ensemble on stage.
5. Wynonna Earp: Vengeance

Cult favorite sci-fi series Wynonna Earp is back with a vengeance!
That’s right, Earpers, you get to take over Comic-Con once again thanks to Tubi’s 90-minute scripted special Wynonna Earp: Vengeance.
The reunion panel includes cast members Melanie Scrofano (Clickbait), Tim Rozon (Schitt’s Creek), Dom Provost-Chalkley (Christmas at the Ranch), Katherine Barrell (Clickbait), and creator Emily Andras discuss assembling for this new adventure. Those who attend the panel will be the first to see the full trailer.
And if that wasn’t enough Canadian TV royalty for you, Dani Kind (Workin’ Moms) will be moderating the panel in Room 6A on Saturday, July 27, from 1:45 – 2:45 pm PDT.
Offsite Activations
1. Abbott Elementary A.V.A. Fest

Abbott Elementary is bringing A.V.A. Fest to Comic-Con with carnival-themed games and cheeky swag referencing Season 3’s best moments.
According to TheWrap, the festival will run from Thursday, July 25 to Sunday, July 28, at the Fifth Avenue Landing (behind the convention center). This activation is open to the public, so no SDCC badge is needed to participate in the carnival’s unhinged games.
Here is a look at the prizes fans can win at A.V.A. Fest:
Inside the festival, fans will be greeted by various attractions inspired by jokes from Abbott Elementary. There’s Mr. Johnson’s Closet of Curiosities, Gregory’s Garden Goofballs booth, Principal Ava’s “Finest One in, First One Out” swing ride, Barbara’s “Blessed and Pressed,” Melissa’s MVP Showdown, and Janine’s “Reach for the Stars” test of strength.
Oh, and did we mention there will be chances to “dunk a white dude”?
Additionally, the activation will feature live performances from the official Philadelphia Eagles Drumline every hour and an exclusive festival playlist curated by Ava’s bestie, Questlove.
The hottest club at SDCC this year is, of course, A.V.A. Fest.
2. Olfactory Atelier Inspired by Ghosts

From a Pine Cone Trooper activation at Petco Park to “Ghosted at Comic-Con” swag on the show floor, Ghosts always embraces a spirited marketing campaign.
This year, fans can visit Paramount’s The Lodge activation at the Gaslamp’s Happy Does (340 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92101) for their dose of Ghosts. The experience is open to the public July 24 from 6–10 pm, July 25-27 from 12–10 pm daily, and July 28 from 10 am–7 pm. It features various activities inspired by Paramount projects — including Woodstone Manor’s Olfactory Atelier.
Scents play an essential role in the comedy’s lore. So this activation will pay homage to that with an enchanting perfume apothecary set up in the show’s infamous living room set. Guests will be greeted by Easter eggs from the show as “essence chemists” entice them to check out a specially curated collection of perfumes.
Each perfume will pay homage to the different spirits from the show and allow fans to take home the scent of their choice.
3. The Bear Restaurant Pop-Up

Get ready, Chefs! The Bear is making its Comic-Con debut with a pop-up activation.
FX will once again take over the Hilton Bayfront Lawn from Thursday, July 25, to Sunday, July 28, to deliver immersive fan experiences to the public, including a Hellevator inspired by the many American Horror Story seasons, a Paddy’s Pub photo booth from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and everyone’s favorite Chicago dysfunctional dining establishment.
The Bear’s restaurant pop-up will allow hungry guests to step into a replica interior of The Bear restaurant from the show. Fans will be served a daily chef’s special, which will feature exclusive merch.
One can only hope the experience involves paid actors yelling at each other to ensure the ambiance is just right.
4. What We Do in the Shadows: Vampire Residence

If you have always wanted to step inside the infamous home of our favorite Staten Island vampires, FX is giving fans summoned to SDCC the chance.
Once you enter the FX fan experience on the Hilton Bayfront Lawn, you can fly over to the recreation of their Staten Island mansion for a spooky photo op opportunity. This killer residence activation will also offer fans the chance to take pictures of famous props from the series.
And with What We Do in the Shadows finished filming its final season, this could be your only chance to see these pieces in person before the comedy’s farewell tour concludes.
5. Those About To Die: The Chariot Race

Peacock’s Those About To Die brings Ancient Rome to Comic-Con with an immersive chariot race experience.
Guests lucky enough to secure a reservation for the sold-out event will line up outside the Circus Maximus in the Gaslamp District. Once inside the betting tavern, you will be asked to join one of five “coveted faction” from the show.
Attendees will also be given the chance to whip a pair of reins to power their team’s chariot to victory.
The activation is open to the public from Thursday, July 25 – 28, and while it does require a ticket to bypass lines, there will also be a stand-by line for those who didn’t pre-register and are fine to wait for their chance to experience the ancient world.
