With only one episode left, Presumed Innocent Season 1 Episode 8, “The Verdict,” promises to reveal the identity of Carolyn’s killer. Several characters have become suspects throughout the episodes.

Could it truly have been Rusty after having an affair and finding out she was pregnant? Could it have been his son angry at the woman who destroyed his parents’ marriage?

Even though Rusty seems to be the number one suspect, the evidence against Tommy has made everyone wonder if he could have done it. Could the murder weapon in his kitchen mean he did it?

As terrible as it would be to think about it, Carolyn’s son is also a suspect. Could he have taken all his anger out on his mother after watching her have a life without him?
