It’s the beginning of the end for the team at Station 19.

Station 19 Season 7 Episode 1, “This Woman’s Work,” marks the start of the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff show’s final season on ABC.

Before anticipating what’s to come, it’s important to note that this season premiere (and the rest of Season 7, which will feature the show’s 100th episode) will not air at its usual time. Station 19 now airs on Thursdays at 10/9c.

The description for “This Woman’s Work” teases that this episode will pick up shortly after Station 19 Season 6 Episode 18, “Glamorous Life,” where the Firefighters Ball takes a deadly turn. Now, Jack’s life hangs in the balance. The absence of new footage or photos of him below feels like a cause for concern.

Hopefully, Station 19‘s final season doesn’t begin on such a sour note of losing a main character. It does seem like “This Woman’s Work” will welcome back a familiar face after the death of Michael Dixon on the Season 6 finale.

It certainly looks like Lachlan Buchanan, who played Emmett Dixon, is standing opposite Jay Hayden’s Travis Montgomery in one of the photos.

Meanwhile, Andy (finally!) steps into the station’s captaincy, which Station 19 teased in its trailer released at the end of January. The first call she will officially lead the team on in this role appears to be a hostage situation. No pressure! Similarly, Nastahsa continues to face the pressure of fighting for her job.

Station 19 is bringing the heat for Season 7. Ideally, there will be some positive turns for the characters in this last run. For instance, Maya and Carina will make a choice on “This Woman’s Work.” Assuming this choice is regarding the couple’s desire to start a family, hopefully, whatever they decide goes well for them.
