Preview — 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 1: The 118 Makes Waves on its ABC Debut

9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 1, “Abandon ‘Ships,” plans to make some waves in the drama’s move from FOX to ABC.

After their wedding on 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 18, “This Life We Choose,” in 2019, the show will finally celebrate Bobby and Athena’s long-awaited honeymoon, but, of course, disaster will strike. At least the photos tease that the not-so-newlyweds will have a few pleasant memories before their ship starts to sink.

But it’s okay because the 118 is on the case when interim Captain Hen (!) can’t find their cruise ship. Before that, though, it seems like “Abandon ‘Ships” may channel 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 1, “Under Pressure,” because Buck and Eddie can be seen diffusing a fighter jet — not a grenade — that traps a civilian.

The photos also suggest that Buck and Eddie might team up to help Eddie’s son Christopher. Based on 9-1-1‘s recent spread with Entertainment Weekly, it seems like Christopher may need romantic advice now that he’s starting to date.

Meanwhile, “Abandon ‘Ships” will also see a couple get stuck together in an unusual incident. Perhaps that strange call brings Sue and Josh to Maddie’s desk at the call center. If any trio can solve a problem, it’s that one.

Either way, there are only a few days left before the three-episode season premiere arc tests 9-1-1‘s ‘ships. Hopefully, all of them stay afloat.
