
‘Ghosts’ and ‘Fire Country’ Renewed at CBS
Here’s some good news to celebrate! Ghosts and Fire Country have received early renewals from CBS.
The supernatural comedy will return for Season 4 and the firefighting drama for Season 3 for the network’s 2024/2025 season.
Both shows are amid successful seasons. Ghosts was the #1 comedy on Paramount+ in February when Ghosts Season 3 Episode 1, “The Owl,” premiered on CBS and streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+.

Fire Country ranked as the #4 drama on Paramount+ in February when Fire Country Season 2 Episode 1, “Something’s Coming,” premiered. The series averages 7.76 million viewers this season in linear viewing.
Both shows were part of CBS’s premiere week (Monday, February 12, through Sunday, February 18). Ghosts received its largest audience ever, up +9% from its year ago fall premiere,” per CBS Network Television.
Meanwhile, Fire Country spent the special week as the #1 show on Friday, “up +7% from its spring finale.”
“Ghosts and Fire Country are proven viewer favorites on both broadcast and streaming thanks to exceptional storytelling, talented actors, and an ever-growing fan base,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said.

“We are elated to keep the momentum going and bring them back to CBS next season,” Reisenbach added.
Ghosts Season 3 Episode 5, “The Silent Partner,” airs on Thursday at 8:30/7:30c. Fire Country Season 2 Episode 4, “Too Many Unknowns,” airs on Friday at 9/8c.
Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar lead the ghostly comedy series as Samantha and Jay, a couple who turn an inherited, rundown mansion into a bed & breakfast. However, Sam’s near-death experience leaves her with the ability to see the ghosts that live in the house.
Ghosts also stars Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Román Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky, and Devan Chandler Long.

The CBS comedy is executive produced by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, Trent O’Donnell, Jay Karas, Matthew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond, Martha Howe-Douglas, Alison Carpenter, Debra Hayward, and Alison Owen (Monumental Television) and Angie Stephenson (BBC Studios).

Max Thieriot stars as Bode Donovan, “a young convict seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence by joining a prison release firefighting program in Northern California,” on Fire Country. Bode and the other inmates partner with elite firefighters to extinguish wildfires in the region on the CBS Studios series.
Created by Tony Phelan, Joan Rater, and Thieriot, Fire Country also stars Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Stephanie Arcila, Jordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer. Phelan, Rater, and Thieriot alongside showrunner Tia Napolitano, Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed of Jerry Bruckheimer Television.
