One of the biggest weeks of Fall TV is here for the week of October 12th! Our picks this week include the premieres of Matlock, Elsbeth, NCIS, and Ghosts.

You also aren’t going to want to miss the series premiere of the Blue Bloods spin-off: Boston Blue starring Donny Wahlberg as Danny Reagan in a new city. Some other great new shows to consider include DMV and Sheriff Country.

What to Watch on TV This Week:

Matlock Season 2 Premiere – Sunday, October 12th

Matlock Season 2 Episode 1, “The Before Times,” premieres Sunday, October 12th at 8:30/7:30c on CBS before switching to it’s regular night for Matlock Season 2 Episode 2, “Another Matlock,” which airs Thursday, October 16th at 9/8c on CBS.

Episode 1 Description: Matty questions the paternity of the man claiming to be Alfie’s father; the team takes on an arson case; Olympia tries to protect Julian’s involvement in the Wellbrexa case.

Episode 2 Description: While the team is tasked with protecting a witness, Matty and Olympia square off over the Wellbrexa document; Matty and Edwin contemplate whether or not to help Alfie’s father.

Elsbeth Season 3 Premiere – Sunday, October 12th

Elsbeth Season 3 Episode 1, “Yes, And…” premieres Sunday, October 12th at 9:30/8:30c on CBS before switching to it’s regular night for Elsbeth Season 3 Episode 2, “Doll Day Afternoon,” which airs Thursday, October 16th at 10/9c on CBS.

Episode 1 Description: Elsbeth dives into the world of late-night comedy when backstage tensions rise between a talk show host, his head writer and her on-air sidekick husband; Elsbeth meets a new police officer who is an aspiring stand-up comic when off the clock.

Episode 2 Description: When a murder investigation at a famous New York toy store spirals into a hostage crisis, Elsbeth must negotiate with Nolan, the hapless ex-con inside; Captain Wagner clashes with a rival whose reckless tactics could turn the standoff deadly.

The Chair Company Series Premiere – Sunday, October 12th

The Chair Company Season 1 Episode 1, “Life goes by too f**king fast, it really does,” premieres Sunday, October 12th at 10/9c on HBO.

Series Description: After an embarrassing incident at work, William Ronald Trosper finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy.

The Neighborhood Season 8 Premiere – Monday, October 13th

The Neighborhood Season 8 Episode 1, “Welcome to the New Normals,” premieres Monday, October 13th at 8/7c on CBS.

Episode Description: The Johnsons and Butlers face big changes and unexpected challenges as Tina discovers a new passion; Malcolm navigates work and family boundaries; Courtney takes a major step with Marty; Dave’s tech experiment backfires.

DMV Series Premiere – Monday, October 13th

DMV Season 1 Episode 1, “Pilot,” premieres Monday, October 13th at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.

Episode Description: East Hollywood Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving examiner Colette pines for her coworker Noa while enduring teasing from colleagues Gregg, Vic and Ceci. Also, new manager Barb rallies the crew to save their branch from government shutdown.

FBI Season 8 Premiere – Monday, October 13th

FBI Season 8 Episode 1, “Takeover,” premieres Monday, October 13th at 9/8c on CBS.

Episode Description: After a federal judge disappears, a routine investigation takes a dark turn as the team uncovers that the judge had been searching for his missing son on a secluded island; reality weighs heavy on Jubal as he takes on a new leadership role.

Watson Season 2 Premiere – Monday, October 13th

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 2 Premiere – Thursday, October 16th

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 2 Episode 1, “A Tie Breaker and a Huge Mistake,” premieres Thursday, October 16th at 8/7c on CBS.

The Diplomat Season 3 Premiere – Thursday, October 16th

The Diplomat Season 3 premieres Thursday, October 16th on Netflix.

Season Description: In Season Three of The Diplomat, Ambassador Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want. She just accused Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) of hatching a terrorist plot and admitted she’s after the VP’s job. But now the President is dead, Kate’s husband Hal (Rufus Sewell) may have inadvertently killed him, and Grace Penn is leader of the free world. None of this slows Hal’s campaign to land Kate the vice presidency. Sheriff Country Series Premiere – Friday, October 17th

Sheriff Country Season 1 Episode 1, “Pilot,” premieres Friday, October 17th at 9/8c on CBS.

Episode Description: When a young boy is caught stealing food, straight-shooting town sheriff Mickey uncovers a disturbing case of child abuse that leads to a high-stakes rescue and a cliffside standoff that could cost lives. Boston Blue Series Premiere – Friday, October 17th

Boston Blue Season 1 Episode 1, “Faith and Family,” premieres Friday, October 17th at 10/9c on CBS.

Episode Description: NYPD detective Danny Reagan teams up with Boston detective Lena Silver to investigate a deadly fire at a tech company; as they dig deeper, they uncover a complex web of secrets involving facial recognition technology.
