NCIS: Sydney Sets November Premiere Date on CBS
In its first-ever international edition, the NCIS Universe will expand to Australia later this year.
NCIS: Sydney will make its series debut on Monday, November 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, immediately following the original NCIS. The episodes will then be available to stream on Paramount+.
With rising international tensions in the Indo-Pacific, the CBS Original Series follows “a brilliant and eclectic team of U.S. NCIS agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) are grafted into a multinational taskforce to keep naval crimes in check in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet,” per its logline.

NCIS: Sydney marks the fifth series in the franchise, following NCIS (2003), NCIS: Los Angeles (2009), NCIS: New Orleans (2014), and NCIS: Hawai’i (2021).
As previously reported, NCIS: Los Angeles ended in May 2023 after a 14-season run. Before that, characters from the California-based series starred alongside NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i characters in the franchise’s first three-show crossover, which aired on CBS in January 2023.
After it concluded, CBS announced that NCIS: Hawai’i‘s LL Cool J would reprise his role as Sam Hanna in a recurring guest star role in the show’s previously announced third season. The Hawai’i-based show and the original NCIS were renewed in February 2023 — the latter for its 21st season.
“NCIS is one of the most popular series in the world and we’re thrilled to expand this franchise with a uniquely Australian twist,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said.

“With the addition of NCIS: Sydney, our studio and Network footprint continues to grow in this fascinating world that has been a proven winner with viewers on both linear and streaming platforms,” Reisenbach continued.
“Featuring the stunning backdrop of Australia, the new series will incorporate the high-stakes intrigue, humor, and camaraderie that have kept fans captivated by the NCIS teams for over two decades,” Reisenbach concluded.
Created by Morgan O’Neill, who also executive produces alongside Endemol Shine Australia’s Sara Richardson and Sue Seeary, NCIS: Sydney‘s eight-episode freshman season was “filmed against the spectacular backdrop of one of the world’s most breathtaking harbor cities.”
Network 10 and Paramount+ in Australia originally developed the latest addition to the NCIS franchise.
