CBS Announces Programming for the 2023/2024 Season
CBS has announced its programming for the upcoming 2023/2024 season, including returning series FBI, Ghosts, So Help Me Todd, NCIS: Hawai’i, and 18 others.
The primetime line-up of CBS Originals features three new dramas, one new comedy, and special event programming. Namely, CBS Sports will present Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11, 2024, live on CBS and Paramount+. Previously titled The Never Game, the Justin Hartley-led drama Tracker will premiere in post-Super Bowl timeslot.
CBS’ two other new dramas are The Good Wife spinoff, Elsbeth, starring Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni, and Matlock, starring Kathy Bates as Madeline “Matty” Matlock, which is inspired by the classic TV series of the same name. Poppa’s House is a new comedy starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., premiering later in the season.

CSI: Vegas will also return midseason, as CBS has already announced its renewal. With the new and returning series, CBS’ programming will include CBS Sports’ portfolio of marquee properties and championships, the Tony Awards, the GRAMMY Awards, the CMT Music Awards, and the Kennedy Center Honors.
“Along with our outstanding team at the Network, I am incredibly excited to introduce four new series with big-name talent portraying distinct, bold, engaging characters,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said.
“These new shows from marquee auspices capture everything our viewers love about a CBS series – unique personalities, suspenseful drama, intrigue, high stakes, and relatable laugh-out-loud comedy with heart and humor,” Reinback added.
“The new additions to our line-up are a stellar complement to our winning slate of returning series, and we are confident they will resonate with our viewers on broadcast and streaming platforms,” Reinback concluded.

Kathy Bates stars “as the brilliant septuagenarian Madeline “Matty” Matlock, who achieved success in her younger years and decides to rejoin the workforce at a prestigious law firm where she uses her unassuming demeanor and wily tactics to win cases and expose corruption from within” on Matlock.
The new CBS Original series is inspired by the classic television series of the same name that premiered in 1986 and starred Andy Griffith as Ben Matlock.
Matlock also stars Skye P. Marshall as Olympia, Jason Ritter as Julian, David Del Rio as Billy, and Leah Lewis as Sarah. TRACKER

Justin Hartley stars in Tracker as Colter Shaw, “a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a “reward seeker,” using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family.”
Tracker is based on Jeffery Deaver’s bestselling novel The Never Game, which was also the CBS Original series’ original title.
Alongside Hartley, Tracker also stars Fiona Rene as Reenie, Robin Weigert as Teddi, Abby McEnany as Velma, and Eric Graise as Bobby. Hartley, Ken Olin, Ben Winters, Hilary Weisman Graham, and Jeffrey Deaver are executive producers. Olin directed the pilot from a script written by Winters. Twentieth Television produces Tracker.
POPPA’S HOUSE

Starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., Poppa’s House follows Wayans as a “legendary talk radio host and happily divorced “Poppa,” who has his point of view challenged at work when a new female co-host is hired,” per the show’s synopsis. Essence Atkins stars as the new co-host, Ivy.
Meanwhile, at home, Poppa is “still parenting his adult son, a brilliant dreamer who is trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible father and husband.”
Poppa’s House also stars Tetona Jackson as Nina. Wayans and Kevin Hench are executive producers. Andy Ackerman directed the pilot from a script written by Hench and Wayans. CBS Studios produces Poppa’s House.
