‘Gen V’ Trailer Welcomes a New Class of Supes to Godolkin University

Gen V, News

From the world of The Boys, Godolkin University welcomes a new class of Supes in the trailer for Prime Video’s Gen V.

Jaz Sinclair’s Marie Moreau brings prospective viewers — and students — to Godolkin’s campus. Chance Perdomo’s Andre attempts to give Marie a superhero name for her blood-related powers but comes up short with “Bloody Marie” and “Coagula.” As the trailer shows, Marie’s superhero name is the least of their problems.

Gen V makes its worldwide three-episode premiere on Friday, September 29, on Prime Video. The season will then stream weekly episodes until the season finale on Friday, November 3.

The Amazon Original series’ trailer reveals that something evil lurks in the college halls and extends all the way to The Woods. One character says, “If The Woods is exposed, we all have a big, potentially fatal problem.”

Gen V‘s new footage presumably reveals that Godolkin University takes specific students to The Woods to experiment on them.

The darker, manipulative content clashes with the staff’s confidence that students like Patrick Schwarzenegger’s Golden Boy can save “thousands of people.”

Gen V‘s logline states, “As the students vie for popularity and good grades, it’s clear that the stakes are much higher when super powers are involved. When the group of young supes discover that something bigger and sinister is going on at school, they’re put to the test: Will they be the heroes or the villains of their stories?”

As previously reported, the series set at the prestigious superhero-only college debuted its teaser trailer in July 2023, nearly a year after Prime Video announced the cast and its plans for Gen V.

Now, the Amazon Original series has an official trailer and a Redband one for fans to view before its premiere later this month.

Gen V stars Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi.
