Gen V Teaser Trailer Released by Prime Video

Gen V, News

Move over, Homelander! A new “savage” freshman class is coming to The Boys Universe in the first teaser trailer for the college-set spinoff series, Gen V.

Prime Video unveiled a glimpse at the Amazon Original series just four days after announcing Gen V will make its three-episode series debut on Friday, September 29, per TV Line. The show will then premiere new episodes weekly until its season finale on Friday, November 3.

The teaser trailer takes fans to Godolkin University (run by Vought International), which is initially described as a “safe space” for “the best and brightest” since 1965, but by the end, the school’s dark side shows when suspicion of “dangerous evil people” being in their midst intensifies.

Marie Moreau’s powers are equally as intense, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting to be the first Black woman in The Boys‘ The Seven.

Gen V will explore “the training of the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V, and that their powers were injected into them, rather than God-given. These young, competitive heroes put their physical and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s highly coveted top ranking.”

Per its logline, “They quickly come to learn that ambition comes with sacrifice, and the difference between right and wrong is not as clear as they once believed. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become.”

Gen V and most of its ensemble were announced in July 2022, with the first sneak peek at the show arriving in December at CCXP. Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters are Gen V‘s showrunners and executive producers.
