What to Stream in September: Sex Education, Gen V, No One Will Save You

The Wheel of Time Season 2 (Prime Video) – September 1

While Rand defeated the Dark One on The Wheel of Time Season 1, there are still dark forces at play. With Moiraine powerless, Rand and his friends will have to work together to protect their world. The Wheel of Time Season 2 premieres with three episodes on September 1 on Prime Video with new episodes releasing weekly.
Season Description: Based on the best-selling Robert Jordan fantasy series The Wheel of Time, a humble farm boy, Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski, Gran Turismo), learns he is The Dragon Reborn — a dangerous figure from history destined to save the world … or break it. Desperate to protect him from the Dark One, an army of powerful sorceresses must reckon with his burgeoning power and encroaching madness. The Wheel of Time turns, and the Last Battle approaches. Though Rand thought he destroyed the Dark One, evil is not gone from the world. In Season Two, threats new and very old seek out the young friends from the Two Rivers, now scattered over the world. The woman who found and guided them is now powerless to help, and so they must find other sources of strength. In each other, or themselves. In the Light … or the Dark.
The Changeling (Apple TV+) – September 8

If you are in the mood for something darker to hold you over until Halloween, this may be the show for you. The Changeling premieres with three episodes on September 8 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.
Series Description: A fairy tale for grown-ups. A horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed.
A Time Called You (Netflix) – September 8

After losing her boyfriend in a tragic accident, Jun-hee is presented with the opportunity to travel back in time to reunite with someone who looks a lot like him. A Time Called You releases with all episodes on September 8 on Netflix.
Series Description: A Time Called You is a mysterious romance, centering around Jun-hee, the protagonist who is grappling with the loss of her boyfriend 1 year ago. Miraculously transported back to 1998, she encounters Si-heon, an individual bearing an uncanny resemblance to her late love, and his friend In-gyu.
The Other Black Girl (Hulu) – September 13

Based on a popular novel of the same name by Zakiya Dalila Harris, this story follows Nella as she finds out that there’s something disturbing happening at her job. The Other Black Girl premieres with all episodes on September 13 on Hulu.
Series Description: Nella, an editorial assistant, is tired of being the only Black girl at her company, so she’s excited when Hazel is hired. But as Hazel’s star begins to rise, Nella spirals out and discovers something sinister is going on at the company.
The Morning Show Season 3 (Apple TV+) – September 13

It’s time to return to UBA, and a lot has changed since we last saw everyone — Alex has taken over the morning show, while Bradley is on the evening broadcast. The Morning Show premieres with two episodes on September 13 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.
Season Description: In The Morning Show season three, the future of the network is thrown into question and loyalties are pushed to the brink when a tech titan takes an interest in UBA. Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponized, and everyone is forced to confront their core values both in and out of the newsroom.
Theater Camp (Hulu) – September 16
Amos and Rebecca-Diane work at a beloved (but a little decrepit) theater camp and have to work together to save it after a tech bro buys it. Theater Camp premieres on September 16 on Hulu.
Film Description: Tony Award winner Ben Platt and Molly Gordon star in the original comedy Theater Camp as Amos and Rebecca-Diane — lifelong best friends and drama instructors at a rundown camp in upstate New York. When clueless tech-bro Troy (Jimmy Tatro) arrives to run the property (into the ground), Amos, Rebecca-Diane and production manager Glenn (Noah Galvin) band together with the staff and students, staging a masterpiece to keep their beloved summer camp afloat.
The Gold (Paramount+) – September 17

A heist doesn’t exactly go to plan when thieves stumble upon gold worth over 26 million pounds. The Gold premieres with two episodes on September 17 on Paramount+ with new episodes releasing weekly.
Series Description: The Gold is inspired by the real-life events that took place on November 26, 1983, when six armed men broke into the Brink’s-Mat security depot near London’s Heathrow Airport, and inadvertently stumbled across gold bullion worth £26m. What started as ‘a typical Old Kent Road armed robbery, according to detectives at the time, became a seminal event in British criminal history, remarkable not only for the scale of the theft — at the time the biggest in world history — but for its wider legacy. The disposal of the bullion caused the birth of large-scale international money laundering, provided the dirty money that helped fuel the London Docklands property boom, united blue and white collar criminals, and left controversy and murder in its wake.
Sex Education Season 4 (Netflix) – September 21

Otis and Eric have to start all over at a new school after the closure of Moordale Secondary, and neither is all that excited about it. The final season of Sex Education premieres on September 21 on Netflix.
Season Description: Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier — their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students — they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level. There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong sustainability vibe and a group of kids who are popular for being… kind?! Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A-Level and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, whilst adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus…
No One Will Save You (Hulu) – September 22

Kaitlyn Dever stars in this psychological thriller about a young woman’s fight for survival against extraterrestrial beings. No One Will Save You premieres on September 22 on Hulu.
Film Description: No One Will Save You introduces Brynn Adams (Dever), a creative and talented young woman who’s been alienated from her community. Lonely but ever hopeful, Brynn finds solace within the walls of the home where she grew up — until she’s awakened one night by strange noises from decidedly unearthly intruders. What follows is an action-packed face-off between Brynn and a host of extraterrestrial beings who threaten her future while forcing her to deal with her past.
The Continental: From the World of John Wick (Peacock) – September 22

Peacock is giving us a bit of history as to how Winston Scott came to be in charge of the infamous Continental Hotel. The Continental: From the World of John Wick premieres with “Night One” on September 22 on Peacock with “Night Two” releasing on September 29 and concluding with “Night Three” on October 6.
Series Description: The three-part event will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.
Starstruck Season 3 (MAX) – September 28
It’s been two years since Jessie and Tom broke up, and she’s still trying to decide what she wants out of life and a partner. Starstruck Season 3 premieres on September 28 on MAX.
Season Description: Season three of Starstruck follows Jesse, who is living in London and working at the local cinema while exploring a new single life after parting ways with film star Tom. Two years after the breakup, Jessie navigates the pressures of adulthood and is confronted with the consequences of her own choices as her friends move on to the next stages in their lives, while Jessie is left questioning what she is really looking for.
Gen V (Prime Video) – September 29

This spin-off is taking us back to school as we watch how the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V are trained. Gen V premieres with three episodes on September 29 on Prime Video with new episodes releasing weekly.
Series Description: From the world of The Boys comes Gen V, which explores the training of the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V, and that their powers were injected into them, rather than God-given. These young, competitive heroes put their physical and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s highly coveted top ranking. They quickly come to learn that ambition comes with sacrifice, and the difference between right and wrong is not as clear as they once believed. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become.
