And Just Like That…‘s Season 2 trailer teases a long-awaited reunion while leaving another as a surprise.
That’s right; Carrie and Aidan are back, and it’s like no time has passed for Carrie and her former fiancé.
Carrie sends an email to Aidan, leading with “Hey Stranger…,” that brings them together for dinner, but And Just Like That…‘s trailer ends without any clear picture of what comes next, as TV Line reports.
This Carrie and Aidan update comes after the brief glimpse of their reunion in the Season 2 teaser trailer Max released in April.
As previously reported, Sex and the City fans will see the highly-anticipated reunion at some point during the season that premieres with two new episodes on Thursday, June 22, on Max.
Deadline confirms that Carrie isn’t the only one moving on in And Just Like That…‘s new season.
For instance, Miranda finds herself “on the precipice of doing something either really stupid or totally liberating” and wonders how well she knows Che.
Meanwhile, Charlotte gets a job offer that could pull her away from her kids even though they need her “even more these days.”
But, as Carrie’s voiceover says, “And just like that… I realized you never know what tomorrow will bring.”
That is certainly the case for the upcoming season! Variety exclusively reported yesterday that Kim Cattrall will reprise her role as Samantha Jones in one scene during And Just Like That…‘s Season 2 finale.
Cattrall took to Instagram to confirm and celebrate her role reprisal, writing, “Happy Pride 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🌈…..”
Variety shares that Cattrall’s one scene will be a phone conversation between Samantha, who now lives in London, and Carrie.
The duo communicated via text during the show’s debut season and made plans to reconcile on And Just Like That… Season 1 Episode 10, “Seeing the Light.”
As previously reported, And Just Like That… was renewed for its second season a little over a month after that season finale debuted on HBO Max.
The show’s returning series regulars are Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang, and Alexa Swinton.
