Servant Season 4 Episode 2 Review: Itch
The apocalypse starts at home. Servant Season 4 Episode 2, “Itch,” proves this with a frightening and thrilling domestic battle between Dorothy and Leanne.
Leanne’s decision to fully embrace her dark side is one of Servant Season 4’s best developments so far. Evil Leanne is scary and compelling.
This makes Dorothy scary as well because she refuses to back down. This season — like last season — is really becoming a battle of the women with the male characters trying to stay as far out of it as possible.

It is only a matter of time before they have to join the fight and pick a side.
Leanne gives her best Annie Wilkes impression on “Itch,” as her attempts to force her way into Dorothy’s space continue to escalate. However, Dorothy temporarily gains the upper hand by hiring nurses.
This shows that Dorothy may outwit Leanne in the end.
Bed bugs may not be the only thing Leanne unleashes in this war. It seems that Servant plans to go full apocalypse with this final season. We’re seeing a plague of locusts of sorts with the bugs.
At the end of “Itch,” the floods seemingly arrive.

It’s still far too many episodes left to see if that’s where Servant plans to head for the final battle. However, all signs point to Leanne bringing an apocalyptic end to her story.
Dorothy may not be the hero to stop her, but the match that starts the final explosion. Jericho is the most important piece in this battle.
Dorothy wants him but Leanne holds all the cards with him. She can take him away if she sees fit.
Soon, Leanne may stop being generous with Dorothy. She may already be about to take away Julian.
Julian and Leanne have the most unromantic relationship on television. This is obviously by design. Additionally, it may be because the show is turning Julian into one of her cult members.

He doesn’t see it yet. Nonetheless, he finds himself drawn to her. He also genuinely seems to believe that she holds the answer to his and others’ problems.
Julian joining Leanne’s cult makes sense. He’s one of the characters most easily influenced. Julian often finds himself fragile and prone to addiction.
He is the perfect candidate to join a cult.
We don’t know yet the consequences of Julian totally losing himself to Leanne. Will he sacrifice himself for her? Could he pick Leanne over Dorothy?
The biggest unknown factor in these final battles is Tobe.

Leanne seems the most comfortable and least scary around him. Likely, this is because Tobe is one of the few constants in her life totally unaware of her true nature.
He still sees her as an innocent girl.
Because of his ignorance, Leanne doesn’t have to show her dark side or aggression to him. He seems like a safe space for her.
However, “Itch” makes it known that Tobe will be around more. He may start to see her true self.
If she cannot hide her true nature from him, then it’s unclear where Tobe works in this world. He could be just a piece without a purpose in this battle.

However, that seems unbelievable. Tobe has a part in this end game. We just don’t know it yet.
The first three seasons of Servant thrive on vagueness, atmospheric tension, and mystery. Servant Season 4 lets down the curtain and invites us to watch it all burn.
It’s about to be a spectacular fire.

I find it interesting that Leanne is doing what Dorothy did to her in Season 3- withhold Jericho from her. Dorothy would not even shower bc she had Jericho ALL the time. She even requested her father to have his Psychiatrist friend, “evaluate” Leanne so they could forcibly put her into a mental institution, bc Dorothy didn’t even want her in the house anymore.
First, it was the Dance Academy, to send Leanne away. When that failed, she had the Psychiatrist evaluate Leanne. However, that backfired, & instead the Psychiatrist was More concerned with Dorothy’s behavior.
The real monster here is Dorothy.
Dorothy is definitely a monster as well, especially last season. I think neither is the hero and both are embracing their dark side, which can only leave destruction for anyone in their way.
