Cobra Kai Renewed for Sixth and Final Season by Netflix
Cobra Kai will come to an end with its upcoming sixth season on Netflix.
Per TV Line, the streaming service announced the news about the show’s ending with the renewal of Season 6.
Cobra Kai Season 5 premiered on Netflix in September 2022, and fans have been patiently waiting for any news on the karate drama since.

Variety confirms that the show’s creators, Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, released a written statement.
Hurwitz shared the statement on social media with the tweet, “Never be afraid to fight for your dreams. They just might come true.”
“Reacquainting the world with The Karate Kid universe has been our humble honor. Making Cobra Kai has allowed us to join the same hallowed dojo once inhabited by the great Robert Mark Kamen, John Avildsen, Jerry Weintraub, and all the amazing original cast members,” said the creators.

“It has also enabled us to play sensei, expanding the original storylines and birthing a new generation of underdogs. We’ve never once taken this opportunity for granted,” it continues.
“Our day one goal with Cobra Kai has always been to end it on our terms, leaving the Valley in the time and place we’ve always imagined. So it is with immense pride and thankfulness that we are able to announce that achievement,” the note reads.
“The upcoming Season Six will mark the conclusion of Cobra Kai. While this may be a bittersweet day for the fandom, the Miyagiverse has never been stronger. This fandom is the BEST on the planet and we hope to be telling more Karate Kid stories with you down the line. Because as we all know, Cobra Kai Never Dies.”

Cobra Kai debuted on Netflix in 2018, taking place 30 years after the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament and continuing the competition between Ralph Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso and William Zabka’s Johnny Lawrence.
The Netflix series also stars Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, Vanessa Rubio, Peyton List, and Martin Kove with Dallas Dupree Young, Oona O’Brien, Griffin Santopietro, Yuji Okumoto, and Thomas Ian Griffith.
Heald, Hurwitz, and Schlossberg write and executive produce Cobra Kai via their production company, Counterbalance Entertainment. Will Smith, James Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett executive produce for Westbrook Entertainment along with Susan Ekins in association with Sony Pictures Television.
