Preview — Supergirl Season 6 Episode 5: Prom Night!
Nia and Brainy travel back in time to visit a young Kara and Alex in Midvale on Supergirl Season 6 Episode 5, “Prom Night!” The excitement doesn’t stop there, because this blast to the past also introduces a young Cat Grant.
Supergirl seems to be hearing what we want from the final season because Cat Grant is at the top of that list. Funnily enough, so is more of young Kara and young Alex. Izabela Vidovic and Olivia Nikkanen captured our hearts in the roles when they first appeared on Supergirl Season 3 Episode 6, “Midvale.”
Visiting Kara’s past to save her future is the perfect excuse for all of this to happen! To make everything even better, it’s Nia and Brainy who have to save the day and keep the timeline intact.
There is so much to look forward to on this episode, it’s difficult to narrow it down to just one thing. The promo video doesn’t tease the arrival of a young Cat Grant to Midvale, but the photos give us enough of a sneak peek to hold us over until Tuesday.
The promo video does, however, show us that even though there is a lot on the line, Nia and Brainy are going to make this mission fun — on purpose or otherwise.

Episode description: Nia and Brainy attempt to save Supergirl from the Phantom Zone by time traveling back to Kara’s home in 2009. While determined to secure the item needed to help Supergirl, Brainy is worried about keeping a low profile so as not to alter the future timeline.
However, when their ship crashes upon arrival, a young Kara Danvers (guest star Izabela Vidovic) is the first on the scene. Meanwhile, a young reporter named Cat Grant (guest star Eliza Helm) sets her sights on Midvale as she suspects there is a big story in the small town.
Alexandra LaRoche directed the episode written by Rob Wright & Jess Kardos.
