Elliot finally gets some answers about his mom on The Way Home Season 4 Episode 7, “Working My Way Back to You,” but they might not be answers he likes.

On The Way Home Season 4 Episode 6, “Yes, Sir, That’s My Baby,” Elliot and Kat traveled back to the 20s together. Thinking they were going back to save Elliot’s mom from the Auggie boys, they finally made contact with an older version of Tessa.

After thinking that the Auggie boys had kidnapped her, the episode ended with quite the twist. Tessa was not actually the victim of the Auggie boys, but their leader.

It turns out that somewhere during her time in the past, Tessa became the leader of the local bootleg and organized crime syndicate in Port Haven.

Of all the possibilities of what happened to Tessa after she made her jump with Griffin Landry, this was not on any of their bingo cards. If the episode hadn’t ended with Tessa having one of her goons knock Elliot out, he would have been pretty devastated, and likely will when he comes to.

Of course, there has to be more to the story. On “Working My Way Back to You,” it looks like we will start to get some answers. Answers that include how she got involved with Griffin and what led her to jump into the pond with him in the first place.

Given older Fern’s feelings about Tessa on The Way Home Season 4 Episode 4, “We’ve Got Tonight,” those answers might not be any better than the revelation that Tessa is a crime boss.

Here’s everything you need to know about this episode, including the air date, cast, promo, and how to watch.
