25 Characters We Would Love To See Return To DCTV

Arrow, Gotham, Legends of Tomorrow, Lists, Supergirl, The Flash
13. King Shark (The Flash)

King Shark - The Flash

Sure Grodd is a force to reckon with, but his punch has nothing on the bone-crushing jaws of the fierce King Shark.

The Flash uses this great white more often on filler episodes than on anything else, and it is kind of a shame. A few episode story arc could really cement this guy as the formidable foe that he is.

Okay, well maybe the CGI department can’t afford to have him onscreen for more than five minutes at a time, but we could at least have him as part of a villain team up where King Shark is the brawn. That way we can see the big guy really cut loose.

14. Jonah Hex (Legends of Tomorrow)

Johnathon Schaech as Jonah Hex - Legends of Tomorrow

One of the most enjoyable parts of Legends of Tomorrow is the rotating roster of heroes they run into throughout their time travels. A common recurring face throughout the seasons is the not so beautiful mug of Jonah Hex.

This rough and tough hero is always willing to lend his guns to the team, and it often ends up in a bit of hilarity. Every season thus far, the Legends find their way into Jonah’s neck of the woods, and it would be disappointing not to see the gunslinger in action again.

After all, Rip Hunter eventually names his son after the wild west hero, so there has to be more to their story somewhere down the line.

15. Maria Kyle (Gotham)

Ivana Milicevic as Maria Kyle - Gotham

Selina Kyle is a rather complicated individual. When her mother, Maria Kyle, steps foot back in Gotham, we receive some insight as to why she is the way she is.

Although Maria loves her daughter, her love for the finer things in life may be greater. Among all the villainy running about, it is reasonable to expect her to stop by again to get her piece of the pie.

Like they say, “There’s no rest for the wicked,” and Maria’s manipulative ways are definitely defined as wicked.

16. Tommy Merlyn (Arrow)

Colin Donneli as Tommy Merlyn - Arrow

The bromance between Tommy Merlyn and Oliver Queen is a highlight of Arrow Season 1. With Tommy’s premature death, we are left feeling there could be much more to this relationship that we will never get to explore.

Luckily, we have the old standard that this show heavily relies on, flashbacks.

How about a “When Tommy Met Ollie” scene? Or maybe a fight that defines a major part of the relationship? The possibilities are endless as long as they find a logical way to tie it into the current story arc.

17. Cyborg Superman (Supergirl)

David Harewood as Cyborg Superman - Supergirl

On Supergirl, villains of the week come and go without Kara even breaking a sweat.

The same cannot be said about the fierce Cyborg Superman. Not only does he have the powers of her more famous cousin, but also the familiar face of a friend.

This half-man and half-machine repeatedly gives Kara and her peers a run for their money. Causing havoc and leaving the scene seems to be this guy’s go-to moves, but it would be great to get a little more of an origin story.

Then from there, maybe Winn could find a way to hack into Cyborg Superman’s system (with the help of Felicity Smoak of course) and bring him over to the side of good. Hopefully, this wouldn’t cause too many bad CGI moments when sharing screen time with Martian Manhunter.

18. Patty Spivot (The Flash)

Shantel VanSanten as Patty Spivot -The Flash

What can be said about Patty Spivot? Sure you can call her Barry Allen’s rebound girl after failing to connect with Iris West, but The Flash Season 2 wouldn’t be the same without her.

When we see Patty getting on the bus to leave Central City, we feel as though we are saying goodbye to an acquaintance that could have one day become a good friend. Alas, we never hear from her again.

Maybe her story with Barry is over, but would it be asking too much to have her stop by Star City and meet up with Team Arrow? Her role as a cop could play perfectly into the lives of Dinah Drake and Detective Lance.
