25 Characters We Would Love To See Return To DCTV
DCTV has its fair share of characters. In fact, these shows have so many characters, some of our favorites get left by the wayside, just to add new ones.
This often breaks the hearts of longtime viewers who grow very attached to seeing their faces weekly. It seems every season, a fan favorite packs their bags or bites the big one.
But what if they could have a chance to come back? Here is a list of characters that many of us love and pray to one day see again on Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, and Gotham.
1. Ragman (Arrow)
In Arrow Season 5, Ragman makes his debut as part of the new team including Mr. Terrific and Wild Dog. But when a mission finally allows him to show his true powers, they are quickly taken away from him.
We never know for sure if Ragman is permanently sidelined or not. It would be great to have him show back up in Star City, rehabilitated, and ready to fight alongside Oliver Queen once again.
2. Superman (Supergirl)
Since day one, Supergirl has had no qualms about throwing around the name Superman. It isn’t until Supergirl Season 2 that Kara’s cousin hits the skies over National City.
There is no team up quite like a pair of Kryptonians to take on any dastardly villain that has become too big for his own britches. If you had the big blue boy scout on speed dial, would you really hesitate to use it?
3. Jesse Quick (The Flash)
The Flash never has a shortage on speedsters. Besides Barry himself, we have seen Wally West, Jay Garrick, Eobard Thawne, Hunter Zolomon, and even Savitar. It makes you wonder if there is enough Speed Force to go around.
On the other hand, the lovable Jesse Quick is the only female who is empowered with the gift of speed.
On a weekly basis, we get to see how Barry handles certain situations in a “man’s” world. But it would be great to see how Jesse Quick’s female mind would process similar circumstances.
Maybe if they allowed her to take center stage villains like Grodd, Golden Glider, and Reverse Flash could stay behind bars on a permanent vacation.
4. Hawkman and Hawkgirl (Legends of Tomorrow)
Legends of Tomorrow Season 1 largely revolves around Hawkman and Hawkgirl. Once Vandal Savage is dealt with for good, the couple flies off to live happily ever after.
With all these wonderful adventures throughout time, the Legends should have run into these two by now.
We need to know how a pair of winged individuals would fit into everyday society. And now that Carter and Kendra have been able to spend quality time together without fear for their lives, are they even still in love? Who knows, maybe they have a couple of hatchlings.
5. Gertrud Kapelput (Gotham)
Apparently, even the crime lords on Gotham have sweet and caring mothers.
Before her untimely demise (read murder), Gertrud Kapelput always believed the best of her son, Oswald. Long after she was put in the ground, Mr. Cobblepot still holds his mother close to his heart.
Gertrud could return from the grave as an apparition to show her disapproval of how Oswald has chosen to live his life in her absence. Of course, this wouldn’t put him on a different path, but it could further mess with his mind and give us more input into the Penguin’s psyche.
6. Evelyn Sharp (Arrow)
The verdict is still out if Evelyn Sharp survives the island explosion at the end of Arrow Season 5. But with the lack of deaths that occurred, chances are high she is hiding somewhere in a dark alley.
It wouldn’t be surprising to have her pop out of some stray garbage dumpster ranting about the crimes of our favorite green vigilante. She would be a perfect fit for the team of villains our heroes face this season.
