13 Teen Shows from the ’90s You Forgot Were Totally Rad!

Lists
7. The Secret World of Alex Mack

A freak encounter with crazy chemicals left Alex Mack with a few extraordinary powers. She could turn into a puddle and basically “goo” anywhere. Moving things with her mind was a breeze. Oh…and the big bad science guys are totally after her, so she has to keep her powers a secret. Every teen girl wanted to be Alex Mack’s BFF.

8. California Dreams

Don’t wake me up if I’m dreaming. California Dreams was a MUST watch. The Dreams were a fab band with fun and memorable songs such as, “Mama Says” and “Everybody’s Got Someone.” The real magic of California Dreams was the on-again, off-again romance between Jake and Tiffany, and everyone knew they were soul mates. Jimmy Fallon even reunited the cast on his show a few years ago!

9. The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo

Shelby Woo was a teenage crime solver. Like, a REALLY good teenage crime solver. The series kept us guessing until the final reveal each week. The cops were always left wondering how she figured it out, while simultaneously being annoyed with her for being better at their jobs than they were.

10. My Brother and Me

Alfie Parker couldn’t stand his annoying little brother DeeDee, but we couldn’t get enough of their adventures. There wasn’t a supernatural element to this show. No one was a rising music star. It was just a fun family show about a young teen trying to stay cool with a BFF named Goo, and a little brother who always seemed to ruin everything.

11. Space Cases

This band of misfit teen aliens, and a few adults, just want to get back home…but they were stuck on a ship in space, unable to get home because SOMETHING always stood in their way. Space Cases seemed like a silly teen alien show, but its stories were rich and sometimes a bit bold.

12. Brotherly Love

Joey Lawrence was hot. Matthew Lawrence was hot. Andy Lawrence was an adorable little peanut. Naturally, the WB thought it would be a great idea to feature all three Lawrence brothers in a sitcom about…well…we can’t remember what it was about. But man, the Lawrence brothers were cute.

13. Ghostwriter

He can’t hear and he can’t talk, but he can read ANYTHING.  Ghostwriter was an unconventional PBS show about a group of teens who solved big mysteries in their city…with the help of Ghostwriter, a friendly ghost who communicated by spelling out the answers. Ghostwriter got Jamal, Lenny, Alex, and friends out of many jams…as long as there were plenty of letters to be found. Make sure that your pen-necklace is always on!
