Wednesday Season 3 Wraps Production at Netflix
Fans of Netflix’s supernatural comedy series Wednesday won’t have to wait too long for another semester at Nevermore Academy.
Wednesday Season 3 has wrapped production, as announced by Tudum. The season is expected to debut on Netflix sometime in 2027, per Deadline.
Filming took place primarily in Dublin, Ireland, as well as in Paris, France. A photo released by Tudum shows Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) standing with the Eiffel Tower in view.
Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville), Wednesday is the latest adaptation of the creepy, kooky, and altogether ooky Addams Family. Wednesday, the family’s precocious and cynical daughter, is enrolled at Nevermore Academy.
The school is filled with eccentric characters right at home with the Addamses. Wednesday’s roommate, Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), is a werewolf, for instance. While at Nevermore, Wednesday develops her burgeoning psychic abilities and puts them to use solving mysteries on the campus.
Other members of the Addams family appear as well, including Wednesday’s parents Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Gúzman), her little brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), and Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen).
Wednesday’s maternal aunt Ophelia Frump will also debut in Season 3, played by Eva Green.
“We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday,” Gough told Tudum. “We will be seeing more Addams family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!” Millar added.
Legendary gothic filmmaker Tim Burton is an executive producer on Wednesday. Burton has directed half of the series’ 16 episodes thus far.
Winona Ryder, who appeared alongside Ortega in Burton’s 2024 sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, has been cast in Wednesday Season 3 as a character named Tabitha.
Other actors joining in the series’ third season include Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer.
The series is produced by MGM Television, Tim Burton Productions, Millar Gough Ink, and Toluca Pictures.
