Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 Episode 5 Preview: Brought to You by The Letter P
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4’s highly anticipated puppet episode has arrived. Fans have been looking forward to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 Episode 5, “Level-Five Transporter Accident,” since it was first teased at SDCC 2025.
The clip shown at SDCC simply shows a puppet version of Captain Pike in his Captain’s chair saying “hit it” to announce Season 4.
That little glimpse of Pike and another little tease from executive producer Akiva Goldsman during their panel, saying that the episode might involve a transporter accident, was about all we knew about the episode for the last year.
Until now, anyway.
With the episode finally arriving, we now have preview images and an episode description that drops a few more hints about what to expect.
First, the episode description confirms Goldsman’s tease that the episode involves a transporter accident. Nothing too surprising there. But, we also now know that the crisis the crew will have to overcome while they are in puppet form involves invading space pirates.
The second tidbit we get from the episode images and description is that Spock is the only one not turned into a puppet. While it would have been fun to see a Spock puppet, it’s hard to imagine a better choice of character to have to interact with the puppet crew.
There is no doubt that Ethan Peck is going to make the most out of the comic possibilities that this situation offers.
Still, the most exciting thing about the preview materials released for this episode is the images showing the puppet versions of the rest of the crew.
That’s pretty much all we need to be hyped for this episode.
