Only Murders in the Building Season 5 Premiere Date Announced by Hulu
Charles, Oliver, and Mabel will work together to solve yet another case at the Arconia when Only Murders in the Building Season 5 premieres later this year.
Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez shared that the award-winning comedy series will return with its fifth season on Tuesday, September 9, on Hulu.
Only Murders in the Building‘s new season will have a three-episode premiere. New episodes of the 10-episode season will release weekly until the season finale on October 28.
The previous season wrapped up with Only Murders in the Building Season 4 Episode 10, “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” in October 2024. It saw Lewster (Teddy Coluca), the hotel’s beloved doorman, become the show’s latest victim.
The crime-solving trio refuses to believe Lester’s death was an accident. Hulu’s description of Only Murders in the Building Season 5 continues as follows:
“Their investigation plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond — where the trio uncovers a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia. The trio discovers a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew and the new New York evolving around them — one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge.”
Only Murders in the Building Season 5 stars Martin, Short, Gomez, Michael Cyril Creighton, and special guest stars Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Jermaine Fowler, and more.
Bobby Cannavale and Dianne Wiest are among the comedy’s new guest stars. Meanwhile, Nathan Lane will reprise his role as Teddy Dimas, last seen on Only Murders in the Building Season 2 Episode 9, “Sparring Partners.”
The series comes from co-creators and writers Steven Martin & John Hoffman. The duo executive produces with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, and JJ Philbin. 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios, produces.
In September 2024, Hulu renewed Only Murders in the Building for a fifth season after only two episodes of its fourth season.
