Only Murders in the Building Season 4 Episode 6: Top Quotes from Blow-Up
Only Murders in the Building Season 4 Episode 6, “Blow-Up,” features a couple of twists to what we thought we knew about this case and the killer(s).
After a couple of mediocre episodes, it’s a relief to see Only Murders in the Building back in the swing of things. Who knew all it would take was an unconventional episode to get the job done?

Let’s take a look at the episode through some of its memorable quotes.
A New Medium
Charles: Howard, would you turn off the camera, please!
Howard: Sure, I mean you make content out of other people’s grief but… right.
Only Murders in the Building Season 4 has kept us on our toes with all the fun switch-ups it has been doing. This season, we’ve ventured to LA, introduced a new trio, and now we’ve been gifted a documentary-style episode.
This change in format works because it is the Brother Sisters’ voiceover episode. It doesn’t feel odd or out of place, and while there’s initially some confusion as to how there are cameras all over the place, that eventually gets explained.

This format is something new for us, as well as our trio.
Charles, Mabel, and Oliver are a bit thrown off by Howard following them around with the camera, and it’s amusing to see how each of them reacts to Howard documenting their every move.
Oliver, unsurprisingly, is in full performer mode, while Charles and Mabel are a little less thrilled but still manage to find a way for Howard and his camera to work for them. It also gives the show an excuse to have Howard around (along with a Grave-y cameo), which is always appreciated.
Dun, Dun Duuunnn!
Charles: There was another murder in the building.
Dudenoff has been a lingering mystery throughout Only Murders in the Building Season 4.
He’s been connected to so many characters and questions that it was only a matter of time before he popped up. Of course, he was expected to appear somehow in the Arconia or around New York, not to be another victim who was also incinerated.
The reveal that Dudenoff is dead complicates the mystery of the season because it was either a complete coincidence that he and Sazz were incinerated or the two crimes are linked.

It’s an exciting twist to throw at our trio (and us), but it is too soon to tell if it’ll work in the show’s favor or not. The main thing this twist accomplishes is that it takes our trio back to the drawing board as far as suspects go.
The Westies are seemingly back in the mix because one of them could’ve essentially taken over Dudenoff’s role and started collecting rent money, social security, and whatever other schemes Dudenoff was a part of. The Brother Sisters appear innocent, but it’s too early to tell.
Targeted
Detective Williams: I had one request. One fucking request! Do not let anything happen to Galifianakis!
Oliver: Someone is trying to kill us, Detective. Kill me!
Detective Williams: As someone who has wanted to kill you for the past three years, I understand.
To make the case of the season even more complicated, we appear to have proof that our trio is being targeted thanks to some Pretty Little Liars-esque texts.
Charles being the intended target has been up on that murder board since Charles made it, and after an Oliver look-alike is shot (and another hit courtesy of a ricochet), it isn’t a big leap to assume that someone is hunting down our trio.

However, I’m not entirely sure that someone is plotting their demise. It’s more likely that this is a scare tactic and potentially a distraction tactic as well, getting our trio to stop thinking about Sazz’s murder and focus more on protecting themselves.
If someone is really trying to kill them, they are taking their sweet time with it, which is risky considering our trio could unmask the bad guy before they have a chance to finish the job. What do you think, are our trio really in danger?
