Emmys 2026: The Pitt, Pluribus, Widow’s Bay, and Hacks Among Nominees

Nominations for the 78th annual Primetime Emmy® Awards were announced yesterday by Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) and Jeff Hiller (Somebody Somewhere), along with Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego.

Among this year’s nominees are The Pitt, Paradise, Pluribus, The Diplomat, Widow’s Bay, Hacks, The Bear, and Shrinking.

The Pitt leads the pack this year with 25 nominations, making it the year’s most-nominated drama series.

Hacks made Emmy history this year with 24 nominations, setting a new record for the most nominations ever earned by a comedy series in a single year. The previous record of 23 nominations was shared by The Studio (2025) and The Bear (2024).  

This year’s Emmy Awards will air Monday, September 14th at 8pm ET / 5pm PT from the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE, airing live coast-to-coast on NBC and streaming on Peacock. This year’s Emmy Awards will be hosted by Emmy Award winner Mariska Hargitay.
