A First Look at ‘Heartstopper’ Season 3 on Netflix

The new glimpse at the season shows Charlie leaning on Isaac and Tori while Darcy & Tara and Elle & Tao share cute moments.

The coming-of-age series from creator and author Alice Osemon will premiere its highly anticipated season on Thursday, October 3, on Netflix.  The streamer renewed Heartstopper for its second and third seasons shortly after its series debut in May 2022. The third season went into production in October 2023.

After the eight-episode sophomore season in August 2023, Charlie wants to tell Nick that he loves him in the YA show’s third season, and, as it turns out, Nick has something important to tell Charlie, too. Heartstopper has plenty in store for the friends as they realize that the school year will bring both joys and challenges.

Heartstopper‘s third season stars Kit Connor, Joe Locke, Yasmin Finney, Will Gao, Kizzy Edgell, Corinna Brown, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Leila Khan, and Jenny Walser. Darragh Hand, Hayley Atwell, Eddie Marsan, and Jonathan Bailey are joining the ensemble for Season 3.

Alongside these new photos, Oseman also announced that another beloved character — or “a little surprise,” per Oseman’s Instagram — from the graphic novels would make their Heartstopper debut in Season 3 — Oliver Spring.

“Oliver Spring will be making a small but festive appearance in Season 3 of Heartstopper as a younger cousin of Tori and Charlie. I’m so excited for the fans of the show to meet this beloved character from the comics!” Oseman told Netflix’s TUDUM.

Season description: Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realise that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.
