Percy Jackson and the Olympians Renewed for Season 2 at Disney+
Percy Jackson will be returning to Camp Half-Blood! Disney+ has renewed Percy Jackson and the Olympians for Season 2.
The second season will feature the return of Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri.
The trio will embark on a new adventure based on The Sea of Monsters, the second installment of Rick Riordan’s bestselling Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series, published by Disney Hyperion.

The first season follows the titular character, Percy Jackson (Scobell), who is the son of Poseidon, as he embarks on a quest with his friends, Grover Underwood (Simhadri) and Annabeth Chase (Jeffries), to save his mother and find Zeus’ missing master lightning bolt.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians made its two-episode debut in December 2023 and became one of the most-viewed series on Disney+. The premiere amassed 26.6 million views during its first three weeks on Disney+ and Hulu.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 1 Episode 8, “The Prophecy Comes True,” ended the season in January 2024. The YA show’s debut season has generated 110 million hours streamed to date.
The president of Disney Branded Entertainment, Ayo Davis, expressed excitement over the renewal news.

“Rich in magic, wonder, adventure, and heart, Percy Jackson and the Olympians captivated the imaginations of viewers of all ages everywhere, we’re thrilled to embark on an exciting new quest and a season two with Rick Riordan, our fantastic partners at 20th Television, and the exceptional ensemble of cast and creative talent that bring this story to life,” Davis said.
“I can’t wait to bring the next season of Percy Jackson to Disney+. Raise anchors. Hoist the mainsail. All hands on deck, demigods. We’re heading for the Sea of Monsters!” Riordan added.
Created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, Percy Jackson and the Olympians began development in May 2020, with Rick and Rebecca Riordan joining as executive producers.
Steinberg, Dan Shotz, Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group’s Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Monica Owusu-Breen, Anders Engström, Jet Wilkinson, and Craig Silverstein executive produce the series.
