Cobra Kai’s Sixth and Final Season in Production at Netflix
The wait is almost over! Cobra Kai Season 6 is officially in production at Netflix.
The streamer released a one-minute announcement video featuring the cast preparing for the show’s final season.
Cobra Kai‘s official X (formerly Twitter) account posted the video with the note, “A message to the most badass fans out there: We’re thrilled to be back in production, filming the biggest, baddest, and final season of Cobra Kai! See you in the dojo.”

Ralph Macchio, who reprises his role as Daniel LaRusso from The Karate Kid films, kicks off the one-minute video. “It’s gonna be a banger,” Xolo Maridueña, who plays Miguel Diaz, added, per Netflix’s TUDUM.
The Cobra Kai cast expresses excitement to get back to Atlanta — and martial arts classes — to make Season 6. According to the all-star ensemble gathered in the first-look photo, there is plenty to anticipate, too.
“There’s lots of surprises in Season 6. You’ll love it,” Martin Kove, who plays John Kreese, said in the video.
Cobra Kai premiered on Netflix in 2018, taking “place over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament with the continuation of the inescapable conflict between Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence,” per its synopsis.

The show’s fifth season premiered in September 2022 on Netflix. As previously reported, the streaming service renewed Cobra Kai for its sixth and final season in January 2023.
Written and executive produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg via their production company, Counterbalance Entertainment, Cobra Kai stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, and Peyton List.
The show’s ensemble also includes Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro, and Oona O’Brien.
Will Smith, James Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett executive produce for Westbrook Entertainment along with Susan Ekins in association with Sony Pictures Television. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka also serve as executive producers of Cobra Kai.
