The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Premiere Date Announced by Prime Video
Pack your bags! It’s almost time to go back to Cousins Beach.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 premieres with three episodes on Friday, July 14, exclusively on Prime Video. New episodes will release weekly until the season finale streams on Friday, August 18, making the season one episode longer than the first.

Along with that announcement, Prime Video unveiled the episode titles for The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s upcoming season:
Episode 201 – “Love Lost” (Premiering July 14, 2023)
Episode 202 – “Love Scene” (Premiering July 14, 2023)
Episode 203 – “Love Sick” (Premiering July 14, 2023)
Episode 204 – “Love Game” (Premiering July 21, 2023)
Episode 205 – “Love Fool” (Premiering July 28, 2023)
Episode 206 – “Love Fest” (Premiering August 4, 2023)
Episode 207 – “Love Affair” (Premiering August 11, 2023)
Episode 208 – “Love Triangle” (Premiering August 18, 2023)

That new release model differs from that of Season 1, where Prime Video released all seven episodes on Friday, June 17. The streaming service cites the teen drama’s first season as becoming “the No. 1 show on Prime Video during its premiere weekend.”
The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s cast shared the news in a video celebrating Season 2 lasting “all summer long.”
The video features series stars Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, and Rain Spencer, as well as recurring guest David Iacono.
In April, The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s social media accounts announced that Iacono would return as Cam Cameron.

Later that month, the social media accounts insinuated that Steven and Shayla had broken up. Minnie Mills, who played the latter role, took to Instagram to confirm she would not return in the teen drama’s sophomore season.
The above video also includes Elsie Fisher, who joins The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 in a recurring role with Kyra Sedgwick, as previously reported. Jackie Chung and Rachel Blanchard will also star.
The series was renewed for its second season a week before Season 1 debuted. The Summer I Turned Pretty is based on the trilogy of the same name by Jenny Han, who, at the time of the renewal, stated, “When I decided to adapt Summer for television, I knew we’d need more than one season to honor the story we are telling.”
“To receive a second season pickup ahead of the premiere of Season One is beyond my wildest dreams. I am so grateful to Amazon Studios for this amazing vote of confidence in our show, and cannot wait to bring our incredible team back together to tell the next chapter in our story,” Han added.

This video above leaves plenty of room for fans to speculate how the show may adapt specific passages of It’s Not Summer Without You — the second book in the series.
“Belly used to count down the days until she could return to Cousins Beach, but with Conrad and Jeremiah fighting over her heart and the return of Susannah’s cancer, she’s not sure summer will ever be the same,” Prime Video’s season synopsis reveals.
“When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah’s beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together—and to decide once and for all where her heart lies.”
Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka serve as showrunners for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2. Han, Kucserka, Karen Rosenfelt, and Gabrielle Stanton are executive producers, along with Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen, and Paul Lee for wiip. The series is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip.
